History hinges on little things. A proposal averted, a football game that someone was not meant to attend. When Anne and Gilbert begin their junior year, a mishap of Blythe/Shirley proportions threatens to undo everything that the two of them have worked for. The only way to get out of the resulting mess is the same way they got into it- together.

"She was a mistress of her own fate, ready to curve her own future. She was a fighter, refusing to give in to her own, cruel demons. And no one could take it away from her, not anymore, neither with words or deeds, because right now she felt strong enough to stand up for herself. If only Gilbert didn't spoil it with his jokes." Gilbert catches Anne in the woods on the way to school reading a book and comes to a revelation. And then that revelation leads him to a decision. Takes place within "Anne with an E" verse, but pulls a bit from the book.

Anne notices that Gilbert hasn’t been acting like himself and decides to take care of him. (Takes place a few months after season 2, episode 10, so beware of spoilers if you haven’t finished the season yet!)

What if Gilbert had disappeared after Convocation and married Christine? What if Christine had died, leaving behind a beautiful little Joy Blythe? And what if a certain auburn-haired teacher had moved to Glen St. Mary, meeting her old sweetheart's daughter and changing both father and daughter's lives forever?

After the death of Marilla, a broken Anne finds herself as the teacher at Four Winds, needing a new beginning. Gilbert has been the town's doctor since the death of his uncle, and finds himself now confronting his past and an Anne barely recognisable as the girl he once loved. Old feelings begin to resurface and the two of them must unravel the grief of the past to start again.

AU story that begins at the very end of Anne of Avonlea and imagines what might have happened if Anne had realized, at least in part, her feelings for Gilbert before they left for Redmond.

When Gilbert Blythe discovers Anne Shirley is also going to Redmond College he feels like the luckiest man in the world. His life seems charmed during those first years at Redmond. Until his world comes crashing down when he proposes and Gilbert discovers the girl he's been in love with for half his life does not love him back. This follows Anne of the Island from Gilbert's POV.

Anne is thrown into the depths of despair when Mr. Phillips announces that the Christmas Pageant has been cancelled for good. With hard work, determination, and a little bit (or rather, a huge heap) of enthusiasm, Anne and her friends pull together a show to celebrate the holiday with the rest of Avonlea - just in time for someone who had been missing (and missed) to return home.

("Anne with an E"): After the death of his father, Gilbert Blythe leaves Avonlea to see the world. He has been gone a year, and when Anne Shirley-Cuthbert thinks she will most likely never see him again, he comes crashing back into her world...and into her heart.

Moody Spurgeon has gathered all the boys in Avonlea between 12 and 18 for a game of capture the flag. Subterfuge, reconnaissance, undercover missions, and just a dash of chicken-coop-climbing combine to make this a game they will not soon forget. Why? Because Anne Shirley-Cuthbert wants to play, of course, and she demands that the rest of the girls be allowed to play, too.
