After a gypsy life as an Army linguist and an Air Force wife, I got my BA in English with a minor in History. During my undergraduate years I worked as a tutor and in the Writing Center. I was halfway through my graduate degree in Library and Information Science when an unexpected health situation sidelined me. Now, I do a lot of reading, and I write.

My family and I live in Texas. We have two dogs. One dog is a border collie heeler mix, and the other dog is a border collie pit bull mix...we think. We have two cats. One is a psychotic tortie with a ton of tortietude, and the other is a Maine Coin mix with a sweet nature and serial killer tendencies.

I have an extensive background in animal rescue, and I dabble (awkwardly) in arts and crafts. Television is not something I watch a lot, but when I do, I like the BBC.
