She was in the Gryffindor house. She was friends with Severus Snape, Marlene McKinnon, Dorcas Meadowes, and Mary Macdonald.

Lily had dark red hair that fell to her shoulders in thick silky waves. She had startlingly almond-shaped emerald green eyes. She had milky white skin that is dusted in tiny red freckles. She had heart-shaped face and lush red lashes. She had a thin nose, full cheeks, and dimples. She was small and petite.
