But the other stuff is still the same: female, traditional Catholic, and in college. Also a huge fan of Sherlock Holmes, the Lord of the Rings, the old Mission: Impossible TV shows, taekwon-do, horses, cats, and dogs (to some extent). While I'm a Criminal Justice major with cop aspirations, I've always been rather literary - if I were trapped on a desert island a good book (or 50) would be on my list of necessary things right along with food, water, and shelter! Now for the weird username... For those of you who don't know Latin, AmatorLinguae means Lover of Language. For those of you who do, or guessed correctly, congratulations! (I hope you're out there...) And for those of you waiting for me to get over the Latin bit already, I could have been really evil and called myself AmatorLinguaeLinguarumque (Lover of Language and Languages). ;) I'm sure you all realize by now that I'm a nerd, and proud of it. I specialize in (rather rusty) Latin, Spanish, English grammar/spelling, and various trivia that has no use whatsoever in daily life (quick, what's the longest word typed only with the left hand?). Okay, rules of play: I don't write slash, or any kind of sex scene, though romance is fine, of course. This is due to my religious beliefs, so kindly don't bash me for it. While you may see my stories rated up to T, it will be for violence/drama only. No language, or very little. If you see a spelling/grammar error, please, please, please tell me about it. I'm slightly OCD, and believe me - I want to know. :) I don't mind negative reviews. Really. I know my writing needs work, and I know that others are better positioned to give an honest opinion of it - especially when I don't know them! Though I would appreciate the criticism smoldering and not bonfire-esque. :) Also (puts hand over heart), I do solemnly swear never to leave a fic unfinished, though I may edit it drastically or neglect it for a while. :) Updates may be rather slow now that school has started up again, but they will come... they will come. |
