I'm a writer, but not since college have I dabbled in fan fiction and that was back in the early 1980s. Today, I'm the mother of an 8-year old boy, named Rhett. I have my own business where I write for a variety of companies and a number of consumer and trade magazines. However, all that writing is usually non-fiction, journalistic writing, where I specialize in the areas of home improvement and graphic design. In fact, I have a home improvement column with Examiner.com at and I also write a weekly column in a Chicago daily newspaper.

Seeing the incredible writing here has really inspired and amazed me. Many of the stories exceed the quality of any published Gone With the Wind sequel, so I am a bit intimidated to join in. But here goes.

I first read Gone With the Wind in seventh grade and have re-read it and seen the movie more times than I can count. I have quite a collection of vintage Gone With the Wind memorabilia, too, which I thoroughly enjoy. Since I discovered this site, I must admit that I haven't had to buy a book. I am loving all the stories here.
