Where are you from?

Kay: I was born down South, but eventually I did move to Peoria, which is one of the largest cities located on the Illinios River to date. It's very calm in Peoria, alot of things don't happen, like they would in bigger cities, but it is my home. It's where I grew up, where my siblings grew up. I mean most of my family is there. I will never forget where I was born or where I come from, but to me Peoria was kind of dope. I have to represent. (laughs)

Why did you move from down South?

Kay: The circumstances where bad, to be quite honest with you. There was alot of personal things that went into play, and I was seperated from groups of people that I didn't know very well. That's something I really don't talk about, because it is what it is.

How was it growing up?

Kay: Growing up I didn't always welcome people's lessons and advice. I chose to act a certain way, and my mouth got me into trouble alot. But you live and you learn. I was forced to make mistakes, so that I can learn from them. My daddy always said that it was okay to make ceratain mistakes. As long as you didn't continue to make the same mistakes over and over. I had to find out alot of things the hard way, i'm not going to even front and honestly, those mistakes made me into the person that I am today.

Did you have alot of girl friends when you were younger?

Kay: (laughs) No! No! Hell no! Hell no! I hung out with my guy cousins alot. I generally didn't have alot of female friends. It's not that I didn't get along with them I just perferred to be with my cousins. I basically had this whole played demeanor,and I went into this stage where I did this guy thing, which is so funny and hard to believe because I really can't stand the whole "tom boy" type of swagga. But my cousins were dope, I had fun (laughs)

When did you start writing?

Kay:I started writing when I was in the fifth grade, ugh, (sighs) gosh, it seemed like so long ago. I was in the fifth grade, and I remember because it was around the time of the nine eleven attack back in September of 2001. There was alot of things going on around that time, it was a very cruicial time for the country. People all over the world experienced anger, confusion, and grief. All in all it taught me how to deal with emotion very well. It was a learning experience, I mean it took my writing to a whole new level.

I don't like to apoligize for things: I LIVE life without regrets. I am a talented young adult,beautiful, and carefree. I love what I do, and I know who I am, my personality is banging and sometimes I like to think that I am Bad for all the right reasons. The reason I label myself as a Bad Girl is because

I may say alot ohv things, but I always say what I mean;and MEAN what I say.
