Steve's friends have to learn the hard way that surviving a brutal act of violence might not be what they have wished for.

It's not the uniform that matters, it's the people who wear them. It's the survivors and the fighters and those who believe in the right side of the law. Five-0 started their case with a body in uniform; two members end it with a hail-Mary chance at survival with hunters right on their heels. Hunters who are interested in something much more intelligent than wild boars...

Steve's decision to clear his head by taking a hike with a storm system on the horizon becomes a major mistake. Will his team learn he is in trouble or will he have to overcome his injuries and get to safety on his own? And can he settle the worries that sent him out on that trail in the first place?

Steve doesn't want to wait for Catherine, and he doesn't want to live without her.
