My AU (alternate universe) plot centers on the twist that James Potter was just minutes away from Godric's Hallow when Lily was killed. He arrives too late to save Lily and must manage his grief over his wife's death while raising Harry to be a great wizard. It alternates between James' life immediately following the fall of Voldemort and the AU repercussions in Harry's life 11 years later.
