I decided to write a bit because my page was looking quite bare. So here goes.

First thing, a note. I do all of my writing btween 12 and 2 in the morning, so that combined with mediocre typing skills acount for most of my typos. Sorry, thats life.

Why I Wrote This Story:

Niger Ovis: Black Sheep: I’ve always been interested by the idea of a twin fic, but I failed to find one that I liked. Unsung Hero by MeghanReviews is pretty good, but I’m not a fan of romances. The other fics I liked are good, but none of them are finished. I decided that if I couldn’t find a good fic, I’d write it. I hope you enjoy it.

A Nice Chat Headmaster: I wrote this because I always had the idea of a time-travel Harry who isn’t ready to use his future knowledge for the greater good. I set it up the way I did after reading Fiat Lux by Silver Pard. It’s a one-shot and I won’t be writing anymore of it.

Likes In Fics:

A New Twist: There are many basic fics one can work with. It’s always fun to see a twist on one of them.

Growing Up: It’s always good to see a character grow up. It adds to the story and has the reader watch the progress.

Time-travel fics: It’s a personal favorite for no apparent reason.

Dislikes In Fics:

A New Cast: It’s interesting when a new character is introduced. It’s not when there’s an entire new cast of characters. It takes away from the story and confuses the readers. This also goes for totally changing the characters. A little tweaking is fine, even healthy, but I don’t want to read about Hermione the whore. Seriously.

Insulting the English language: We have a written language for a reason. It’s so everyone can understand the same thing. I understand when someone has some typos, it’s unavoidable. What’s bad is when I can’t understand the story. Teh hary wnt 2 tem hodwatz. That’s not an English sentence. Please understand that.

Romance fics: I don’t actually have anything against them. In fact, a great many are actually good. What I have a problem with is when every other sentence is “I love you”. I’m sorry, but that’s not a story, it’s a preteen girl’s wet dream.

Work-out fics: Harry suddenly gets an urge to learn martial arts, work out, and become amazing at everything. In a few short months, he becomes a super wizard. If it worked like that, Oliver Wood would be the next Merlin. I like Harry shedding his naivety and learning how to fight, but not when most of the fic is about his workout routine.

Happily Ever After fics: We all want a good ending, but a story needs conflict. If the characters just walk around smiling, you’ve got a series of words, not a story.
