Oh. My. God. I have been gone for so long. I mean, April to November! I hope this isn't a trend... anyway, I saw Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, and Draco was just so hot that I had to go back and get started right away! Mmmmm... he's on my background now... and Tom Felton is really hot off-screen too, especially without all the hair gel, has anyone else noticed? Yeah, I know it took me a while, but I really like the new chapter of Shaelune. I've been writing it on and off for a couple of weeks, actually, but got the nerve to finish it.. it's pretty long, about the length of one of my one-shots. I think it really shows their relationship sort of getting a little less standoffish... plus, Hermione falls off the broom and Draco catches her... *sigh* Catch me! Catch me! *falls on purpose* Aaah. Please?
Anyhoo... I'm almost ready to post the next chapter of Pressed Flowers. Pansy's actually kind of cool once you write about her. I can kind of understand her position, you know? And, if I decide to post it without feeling guilty about not updating, I might be posting... TA DA! My first Ginny/Tom fic! It's sort of a natural step after doing D/Hr for a while, isn't it? It's called Irresistible and I think it's actually some of the best writing I've ever done. Review Shaelune and tell me if you want it! I'll see you sometime in December, when I will post the next chapter on PF, okay? Don't let me go away again for so long!

WOOOOT! I'm baaack...
Yes, yes, I know, I was gone for like four months and didn't update at all... but I've been jumpstarted! I've started a new fic (sorry, I can't help it)- Pressed Flowers, which is a diary-type story from Pansy's point of view. I really think she deserves some more screen time, since most of us teen-girl-fic-writers can relate to her position. Read it if you like my other stuff- I think it's a little more superficial than my usual work but still kind of lighthearted and fun. Also, (yay!) I've added a new, VERY IMPORTANT chapter to Struggle Between Souls... that seems to be my most popular fic (117 reviews at 6 full chapters, as I write this), so I've decided to spend some more time on it. I also have one 1-shot, Equinox, an epic D/H mystery (Shaelune), which I have gotten to (woohoo!) 100 reviews on, and a beginning fluff-fic for Lord of the Rings (it's called Anyone Perfect Must Be Lying). I've resolved to catch up on all my other fics before I start new ones, so email me (starice@hotmail.com) and tell me which fics you want me to work on most! I love you all... keep reading!

I'm out of school sick today, so I had some time to look around the site and work on chapters... I know, I know, I haven't updated anything, but hopefully everyone will hold off on killing me at least until April (wouldn't want to miss spring break, now would I?) Anyway, I have a couple of new projects churning around in my screwed-up stew of a brain, and if you would like to know more about them, just email me- the address is up there in the little table thingy.
The only actual update for today is that I changed my pen name from icestar to Goldenberry. Reasons:
-The former was in all lowercase, which is fine for email addresses and the like but otherwise seems rather unprofessional.
-I like the new one better (for those of you still lingering in unenlightenment, Goldberry is the name of a sort of beautiful wood-nymph in The Fellowship of the Ring).
-Several IRL friends of mine (hello, Tori) had uncovered my whereabouts here on ff.net. Nuff said- somehow I'm just not very comfortable with people who know the actual me reading my schtuff, you know?
-uh, I can't think of anymore, but I can only hope that's enough to satisfy you. Anyway, I'm still me, but just under a different pen name!

p.s.- I'll be removing the (icestar) at the end after a week or so, just enough time for everyone to realize that I've switched.

Well, it has been a while since I've updated anything (don't worry, I'm working on the next chapters of everything! BTW, thanks to everyone who helped drag me out of my writing corner. You guys are the best!), so I've decided to put up a little upcoming-in-the-next-chapters thingy. Just to torture you.

Upcoming in..
A Struggle Between Souls- Well, this is sort of a secret, but I guess I can tease you: There will be romance. Some of it, anyway- and not between Hermia and Potius! Eeww! Not that I have anything against H/H shippers as people, but sometimes i wonder about their states of sanity.
Shaelune- In the next chapter, basically Hermione slaps Draco (whoa, didn't she already do that? Like, in 3rd year?) for not telling her everything he knew about the 'case.' Then they call a v. reluctant truce so they can work together (partially because otherwise they'll rip each other to shreds, partially because Draco really doesn't like being hit, like most sane people), and Draco takes Hermione on a broomstick ride to Malfoy Manor to see the portrait of Chalybsis Malfoy... she might tell him about the visions, she might not. I really don't know right now.
Anyone Perfect Must Be Lying- In the next chapter of this one, Cerise wakes up in Legolas' room and has to confront her feelings about him. She concludes that it's basically a schoolgirl crush, not anything to worry over, and that there is a perfectly reasonable explanation for everything (don't you hate people like her, who always have to have logical reasons for everything to have happened! Ugh! It drives me nuts!)...
Equinox Festival- This one is complete, peoples. Done. Finito. As in, no more chapters are coming. That, I believe, is sort of the point of doing a one-shot fluffiness fic... they usually don't hold up too well into future chapters. So I won't be posting any more chapters of this one! Instead of reviewing and asking me to write another chapter, you could plead with me to write another songfic. That, I would do, if you asked really nicely... hehe...
