I have been "CrystalOkamino" since I was a rather young child. I came up with the name when I was 11 or 12. I've had this account since I was 14. I'm 27 now. I'd rather move on from this name. I've stuck with it so people would know who I was, since I had the name so long, and the more followers I got, the less I wanted to change it and risk confusing anyone.

I'm not a very exciting person. Years ago, I used to keep up with all the newest anime and manga, but these days, I just stick to what I know or what gets highly recommended to me. Several years ago, I moved about 3000 miles away from everything I grew up with. Now, I'm a stay-at-home mom. In my free-time, I write, play video games, and occasionally bake, because that's just how exciting my life is.

Why I Go On Random Hiatus

I'll explain here, as it's been asked, and I don't mind sharing. My health is the big reason why I'll disappear quite a bit. I'm a migraine sufferer, although recently I've got them under control. Up until I did, though, I was getting them daily, sometimes the same migraine lasting for days or even weeks. The big health reason is Hashimoto's Thyroiditis. It's an autoimmune disease where my immune system attacks the thyroid. If you don't know what the thyroid does for the body, it can be summed up as "Just about everything." So, when my medication is even just a bit off, and it's an ever-changing disease, I wind up feeling miserable, because every function of the body is affected in some way. It's difficult to write when the brain fog comes over me, or with the constant fatigue, or what-have-you, so unless my meds are right where they need to be, I don't do much.

Current Hiatus

May 25th, 2012, gave birth to my first child, a boy. Adjusting to life with a newborn, so I won't have regular updates for some time. Not giving up on any of my projects, it'll just take me awhile until I can dedicate the time and energy for them once more. Will only post little things until then.

Future Updates
From now on, I will not post a story chapter-by-chapter as I write it. Once I finish with LMBM, that's it for doing things that way. WIB is a co-op fic, and my writing partner has been going through rough times, so it's on hiatus once more. Wish him well, he needs it, and deserves all the hugs and good-feelings in the world. He's a truly wonderful person, an amazing friend, and my brother-from-another-mother.

I will, of course, continue writing! But I will only post finished works, and will update at least weekly, probably twice a week. I've got a few projects in the works, I think they'll be enjoyed when they're done.

I think this will allow me to put out higher quality works -- I'll be able to go in and add anything I realized I wanted, take out things I find don't do what I wanted, and overall be able to make sure the story is exactly so before I put it out there for all to read. I'm trying to practice for writing original works someday, and I think this will help a lot. Also, it'll keep me from holding people up on a story, or feeling like there's pressure to write something and winding up burnt out instead, and so-on.
