Clearly this is how his life was preserved, but no one is claiming the deed. Edolin had several lovely 'wants' so I melded several of them into one story.

After the war Hermione is offered a chance to apprentice under Professor Snape to become his replacement. During the process they get know each other in a whole new way but he isn't the easiest person to get close to and Hermione's plans have never worked out exactly how she planned them to. During the Battle of Hogwarts, Voldemort casts a de-aging curse at Harry. Snape gets in the way of the curse, though, which de-ages him seventeen years. Snape is stuck at the age of twenty after Voldemort's defeat. When Hermione and her friends come back to school in the fall to start their seventh year, they're surprised to see Snape is still de-aged and looking for a cure.
