![]() Author has written 12 stories for Hetalia - Axis Powers. An aspiring-ish author here. So far I've only written Hetalia fanfics, but I might add other fanfics later Oh and I have a tumblr in case you wanna check it out! I reblog a lot of K-pop, not just anime, so be forewarned: Just Extra Info on My Work... Turning Tables: A one-shot about Japan recovering from WWII and America coming to offer his help and friendship. This is my very first Hetalian fan-fiction. It's not my favorite piece, nor my best, but I would appreciate any feedback you give me! :D Chrysanthemum: A one-shot about the relationship between Japan and Taiwan. It opens at a modern-day World Meeting with Taiwan missing the 'old Japan' and how close they used to be. After finding a note he leaves for her, memories from the past resurface. Mostly angst with a little bit of fluff thrown in :) This idea came to me after reading my first Kikuwan fic, Memories of Plum Blossoms by inspiration99. I'm quite proud of this one-shot and I went through and edited it several times before I finally posted it. Alice Not in Wonderland: A Highschool!AU about Alice (Fem!England) and her hatred for Alfred. This is mostly just a way for me to take a break from all the angst I usually write and do something a little more light-hearted and humorous. I really enjoy writing this because the dynamic between Alice and Alfred is just awesome. The plot is pretty cliche, but again I'm not taking this fic too seriously and it's more or less an experiment in a different style. I'm pretty slow on updates and I've lost the drive I had for it, so I'm not sure if it'll ever be completed. Secret of the Bamboo Grove: A story about 2p!Japan (Takeshi) and his brother told from three different characters. I'd originally planned for this to be a one-shot, but I extended it to three chapters :) This story came to me when I was starting to get into 2p! characters, especially Japan. The title is based off a novel called So Far from the Bamboo Grove which is about a Japanese girl and her family escaping from Korea after WWII. I'm pretty proud of this one as well. Paper Mask: A one-shot about a curious Mei and a Kiku who never takes off his paper mask. This was the first time I tried to write something deeper and more meaningful, but I'm not sure if I quite pulled off. I got this idea from the 'Literary Girl' and the train scene in Daily Life of Highschool Boys (which is hilarious by the way). I personally like how it came out, but if no one else really gets it then it pretty much loses its meaning xD You Are My Sunshine: Another Kikuwan one-shot. It's a Historical AU that takes place during Japan's colonization of Taiwan. Kiku is a Japanese soldier/officer and Mei is a Taiwanese citizen. This was inspired by a Tumblr post and another one-shot (inspired by the same post ironically) called My Only Sunshine by Mio-san. Fun Fact: This was actually written on a rainy day! It really helped set the mood though. 帰って下さい: This was inspired by a true story. It's a collection of memories Pochi has about his times with his master, Kiku. He goes onto say that his master hasn't come home yet. He doesn't realize that Kiku is gone and thinks he's still coming back so he continues to wait for his return. This is really different from my usual style, but it was fun to try something different. (The title is read "Kaettekudasai" and translates to "Please Come Home") Piece by Piece: My Valentine's Day SpaBel fic I managed to throw together. A one-shot about Antonio's Saturday visits to a little book cafe to ask Emma for book recommendations. Emma is convinced it's just a 'thing' and she refuses to let herself fall in love with him without realizing she'd given him a piece of her heart the moment she shared the books that spoke for her more than she ever could for herself. Reaching for the Stars: A one-shot about two university students, Lien and Alfred, who come together all because of a pen and are forever united in their dreams and aspirations. Just a sweet AmeViet story based off of a Tumblr post (like so many fan-fictions lol) This has also been kindly translated into Vietnamese by yuki.hime.tn9x: babybluegarden.wordpress.com/2015/09/21/one-shot-reaching-for-the-stars-hetalia-ameviet/ The Watcher: One of my few multi-chaptered fics. The summary I have written at the moment doesn't really fully begin to explain the actual story, but basically it's about Mei, who has a guardian angel (called Watchers in the story) named Kiku, and her life growing up. There're supernatural, religious, family, and romance themes all mixed in with each chapter centering on one to a few snippets that follow Mei's story. It goes from fairy-tale-esque to angst to comfort with a little bit of humor thrown in here and there. I dunno it's really just a hodge podge of things, but many of the themes are things that are pretty important to me, so it has a special place in my heart :) Instantaneous: An AmeViet request for shakhmaty. Just a drabble about Alfred developing a major crush on a certain Vietnamese girl on Instagram only to run into her (literally) at Kiku's family gathering. Mainly fluff and experiments with characterization, point of view, and relationships. I'm not quite sure I knew what I was doing when I wrote it, but it's cute Dreams & Disasters: A Kikuwan Idol AU fic written by inspiration99 and I based on a role-play we are doing. Rather than following a particular plot, there are (or will be) several episodic arcs that follow Mei as she struggles to survive the unforgiving entertainment industry. Luckily, her loyal manager, Kiku, is there with her every step of the way. With both of them constantly only a step away from either their dream or a disaster, falling in love was the last thing they expected. You can find the original rp on tumblr as well under the same name (Dreams and Disasters) :D Hetalian Fan-Fiction Peeves (Mini rant about dialogue because these things really bother me and it sucks when I think I've found a really good fic and then these things come up ._. Feel free to skip over though lol) Accents- Okay, I know each country has an accent when they speak in English, but it gets old real quick and it just disrupts the flow of the story (unless it's crack) Especially when all of the 'l's are changed to 'r's for Japan's dialogue (and yes I'm biased because Japan is bae; sue me) It's true Japanese people aren't very good at pronouncing 'l', but that's really only when there is a vowel following the 'l' (ie. like). So word's like 'child' aren't very hard for them to say. If Japan is like an exchange student in the story and doesn't have very good English I understand, but it really is a killer when a fanfic is pretty well written and then I see him (or other characters for that matter) speaking with really heavy, inaccurate or unrealistic accents. Verbal tics- This is similar to accents and I know a lot of people make these mistakes because they don't know, so this doesn't bother me as much. For Korea, 'da-ze' is a verbal tic used for 'cool' Japanese guys. So fem!Korea wouldn't use it (unless it's really in her personality to, but even then tough or tom-boyish girls don't really use this verbal tic) For China, 'aru' is another verbal tic that Chinese people tend to have when they speak Japanese (not sure if they really use it that often or if it's a stereotype) I don't really mind it so much, but when every sentence ends in 'aru' it gets old. That basically goes for all of the other verbal tics used in the Hetalia fandom. Stuttering- I know some characters are shy, but honestly how many people do you know that stammer every other word in real life? I'm not saying to never use it, but having a character stumble over every word or at the beginning of every sentence isn't very realistic (and quite annoying tbh). Unrealistic Dialogue- I know this might come off as picky, but unrealistic dialogue bugs me a lot. When it comes to dramatic moments, a character's feelings don't always have to be expressed through dialogue. People only say a small percentage of what they are thinking (in general) so they're probably not going to spill all of their feelings even under emotionally-charged circumstances. Fanfiction allows you to make the character say what you want to, but to me it's better to let the characters speak for themselves (based off of their personality etc) rather than putting your own words in their mouth if that makes sense. Stuff I'm into... - Hetalia Ummm... Yeah :D I don't write/post a lot, because I go through these swings where one moment I can write forever and it's amazing n' all and then the next moment I can't get a single sentence out. I really envy you people who can just spout out 'fics :P I have tons of ideas, but whether or not they come out coherent and well-written... Pairings! Kikuwan (OTP!) SpaBel PruHun AmeViet AmeBel ItaSey (I've only read a few fics of them, but they're so adorable!) BelaPan (a lot cuter than you would think haha) NorVietI also like well-written crack pairings as well! It really just comes down to how the characters are portrayed I guess. K-Pop Just a list of my favs: SHINee, U-KISS, Big Bang, Super Junior, BTOB, BAP, Teen Top, EXO, GOT7, Nu'est, VIXX, BTS, Eric Nam, Roh Ji Hoon, Eddy Kim, M.I.B, SPEED, Girl's Generation (SNSD), F(x), Boy's Republic, Akdong Musician, SEVENTEEN, Girl's Day, DAY6, and a mix from other artists :) I have a thing for rookie groups haha Feel free to recommend other K-pop artists/songs! Boring profile is boring :D Hope you enjoy my stories! |
