Hi! I'm a writer and a techie and a soccer player and I wonder sometimes if I'll get into collage (wait...is that how you spell it...?) and I like myoosicals. Well actually, I LOVE Les Mis and I really like Oliver!, and Nunsense...but beyond that, I'm a newbie to the world of the stage! I've got a huge admiration and fascination with actors who can bring parts to life, and someday I want to be either in directing, stage design, or writing/playwriting myself. If not, there's always baking cakes.

My favourite characters in Les Mis are Javert, Thenardier, and Eponine. In the book, she may be a little annoying and desperate and even plotting to kill...but you know...that can be forgiven and all.

I used to think fanfiction was cheating, or that I'd become too attatched to someone elses' characters (too late for that) but I thought I'd give it a try with Les Mis, which has plenty of extra plot to go around.

UPDATE: I'm in the middle of watching Les Mis 1998 right now...stupid Megavideo won't let me watch any more for an hour. Grr. I think my obsession with Les Mis at this point is somewhat dangerous. Anywhoo, a running commentary on it...here we go.

Hmm. Green. That's nice...what? A man? ...wait, is that...OH EM JEEZIEPUFFS VALJEAN IS A GINGER. And apparently a badass. Go, Valjean! Eat yo soup--!--OH MY GOD HE BITCH-SLAPPED THE BISHOP...*shocked silence*...*silence*...Javert...is Geoffrey (sp?) Rush? ...eew. *Rush slowly kills Javert's character to the point where I had to go and watch Philip Quast sing to sooth my tortured soul* ...About him to Valjean, random nameless extra character man says, 'you better approve him or he may burst into tears' which was hilarious...Fantine is awesomely portrayed, except WHOA. There is somethin goin on there, Valjean...ow ow...you go, you man-cougar, you! The things Thenardier (who looks way too normal) said about Cosette to Valjean...'perhaps she ought to go play on your lap'...were funny...annnnnd that's about where I am. so far, it's musical--book--movie for me. It seems like the movie was based off the musical, and it'd be IMPOSSIBLE to understand without seeing the musical.

'78: Um...Valjean is still a ginger...weird. ...Wow, this actually goes through his life in prison and shtuff. He looks like a badass Santa. Hrm Tony Perkins is Javert? He's good at being awesome. *Wheedly violin 70's soundtrack*Hm. Marius has a rather large beard. Tony Perkins is still Javert...he's actually AGING and stuff...way to beat the 90's, 70's movie makey people. Fantine is scary. She's like one of those little ghost-girls crossed with a rabid cat. JAVERT'S DEATH WAS TERRIBLE. WHAT WAS WITH THE FLIPS?? THIS ISN'T ACROBATICS. ...is that a word? The end.
