Desmond Miles was the type of person no one expected anything great from. He served drinks at a bar and then was captured by a corporation that wants to use him to find something. When everything he knows is ripped out from under him again, he has to start anew once more.

At this point, Desmond knew he shouldn't be surprised anymore. Sure, not waking up at the Great Bar of the Afterlife was a bummer, but then again, he should be used to the Ones Who Came Before throwing him a curveball. He just…didn't think that included him to wake up 20 years in the past. (Well, he was here anyways. Might as well make the best of it.)

After much thought over how he could have ever gotten into his ancestor's time, the only conclusion that Desmond could reach was that he had gone nuts and all of this were hallucinations his brain had concocted up due to the Bleeding Effect.
