She lives with him now, and late one night, she discovers that she isnt the only one having nightmares and Rick isnt the only Castle that worries about her. Kate finally gets the mother daughter relationship she's been missing, even if it is a little different. Kate/Alexis, established Caskett!

Seriously, this just isn't fair. She so rarely has a day off in the middle of the week, and instead of spending it lounging in bed with her, all her delicious nakedness aligned with his, he has to sit through Black Pawn meetings. Happy Birthday, AC!

The reality of spending an entire week in the Hamptons with Kate already has him completely on edge, but when she casually drops her hand to his leg, fingers tracing tantalizing patterns on the inside of his thigh, he's not sure they're going to make it to the beach house without him crashing his car into a ditch. After being out of fanfic for a loooong time, was inspired by the Castle finale, as many were. I love telling stories in first person, so I will try with this one. Alexis is out of patience. She and Detective Beckett have a conversation. Takes place near the end of S4. Now a sort of ersatz series about conversations Alexis and Kate have in the future...

Kate knew that Castle would never get over it, would never forgive her for letting this happen. She had to get Alexis back safely. Nothing else mattered.

He stands in stunned disbelief, his hand over his mouth as he stares at her shocked face. She sort of looks as stunned as he does as he watches her within the elevator, waiting for it to move. Because this gorgeous, frustrating, love of his life woman, she just...grinned and blurted it out.

'Castle had spent hours imagining how it would be to make love to Kate Beckett; fast and furious, clumsy and awkward, he honestly didn't know how it would be, other than amazing. But this was beyond imagining, beyond anything his mind had ever concocted'

Post-Always. Firmly in M territory now. - Making love for a second time comes easy. It's gentle and full. Slow and effortless. They take their time becoming aware of the other, discovering hidden secrets and reveling in unadulterated emotion.
