I am a scientist/writer/hopeless romantic. I adore the world of fiction, but unfortunately most of my favorite fictional universes are finished as far as canon-material goes. Luckily, the world of fanfiction allows me to continue to "live" in these universes, either by reading other people's stories or by writing my own. My favorite universes are Harry Potter, PotC, LotR, Buffy/Angel, BBC Robin Hood, SW & ST, etc, etc. Pretty standard fanfic fare.

Most of my stories are shameless self-insertion stories, and I'm not sorry! I have numerous fictional crushes, many (but not all) of whom are bad boys. Some of them are redeemable, some redeemable only in my own mind, and some are not redeemable whatsoever, but they are too deliciously bad to give up! My short list of fictional crushes:

Johnny Lawrence (Karate Kid), Marko (Lost Boys), Spike, Q (Star Trek, not Bond!!!), William Tavington, Boromir, Commodore James Norrington, Draco Malfoy (Cassandra Claire's version...in leather pants), Ben Wade, Wolverine, Captain James Hook (yes, Jason Isaacs again, I am putty in his eyes), Adrien Veidt, Guy of Gisborne, Allan a Dale, Jaime Lannister, Merle Dixon

But my big 3, my triumverate, are Marko (been in fictional love with him for going on 26 years now), Tavington, and Merle, and I don't think 3 more divergent fictional crushes can be found.

Oddly enough, my hormones have nothing to do with which character I decide to write about. I write as the inspiration strikes me, and I currently have partly-started stories in the Lost Boys, Patriot, Watchmen and 3:10 to Yuma universes, as well as a Harry Potter-Robin Hood crossover. I can't guarantee that I will finish any of them -- I can't even guarantee that I will upload all of them, but I hope people enjoy whatever I get around to uploading.
