Matthew Williams works at a small Cafe, and his life is nothing special. Many are worrying over the Vietnam War or the Draft but the 17 year old didn't have many cares at the moment. That all changes when a certain American walked into the cafe. Alfred F. Jones enters his life for only a few hours before he gets on a bus and joins the army. The letters he sends is all Matt has left

AU; Alfred and Matthew are newlyweds. Alfred doesn't want to adopt a child but Matthew does. A tragic accident occurs that harms Matthew severely, and he comes out of it with the mental state of a child. Alfred must uphold his responsibility and take care of Matthew. The experience is eye-opening for Alfred, and he must realize whether or not he really wants to adopt a child.
