A long, long time ago, there was once a FanFic author who went by the penname Snape01. She wrote a mildly successful series, entitled "The Journal of Severus Snape" or something like that, around the year 2000, maybe 2001. Fondly remembers the day the Harry Potter section broke 10,000... It was translated into German, and received quite a few reviews. Maybe she wrote some more Harry Potter stuff before moving to Sex Pistols...she can't remember. Oh yeah, she also started the trend of "You Know You're Addicted to Harry Potter When..." lists. Thinks she may still have those on a cd somewhere... Anyway, back to the whimsical tone.

One silly day in 2002 or 2003, FF.Net decided it would be a good idea to remove all of the real people and Harry Potter fics. Snape01 was distraught, and banished FF.Net from her life. FOREVER. Or so she thought...

Not too long after that, the author went away to college. She discovered her account had been deleted for inactivity or something like that, and was once more distraught. So she created a new account and decided to start writing again. Nothing ever happened.

In the year 2006, Snape01 decided to delve once more into the world of fan fiction. She couldn't remember the login details for her more recent account, so started a new account, as Asho10. Nothing happened.

One January day in 2008, Asho10 was bored during a two week vacation from work. She Actually I'm going to quit referring to myself in the third person, since I'm up to my current account... I decided to see what was being written today, about my all-time favorite book series. It was fairly disappointing, because, back in my day (that makes me sound so old), we tried hard to spell everything correctly, and use proper grammar and punctuation. Aside from the horrible-ness of the writing, there are some good stories. And I have a few stories churning in my head now...

However, I'm actively planning my big return to FanFiction.Net. I was actually planning this fic when the Harry Potter and real people fics were removed, but had nowhere to post it so didn't write it. I've decided to participate in NaNoWriMo by writing this massive fic, which should be novel length by the time I complete it. I seriously doubt anybody reads this, but just in case, you can look forward to it. (-:
