This started as a 30-day challenge to post something 1000 words or less every day from a one-word prompt. I extended the challenge to 40 days, and now that I'm in school I find this too much fun to stop completely, and so I will be trying to update every weekend or every other weekend at the very least. Most of them are Legolas - Thranduil centered!

Galion had warned them that there was no point in sending him to bed, for there are very few elves who are as good at looking after the royal family as he is. Galion was right, there was no point.

Here's a spin-ff story between Arahaelon, Crown Prince of Mirkwood, and Indilene, it will overlap eventually (and quickly) with Almarëa. Also the rest of the siblings, Tadion, Lossenel and Legolas will appear in this story.

The growing shadow in the Woodland Realm brings danger to those who have never known it before.

Five year-old Legolas is captured by orcs and taken to Dol Guldur, where he is given to an assassin to be trained. The Nazgûl underestimated their assassin's new-found hatred of the Enemy however. Their plan backfires when a deadly but good Legolas escapes, hiding from the kin who think him dead and killing orcs from the shadows...

"Legolas! Wake up! Legolas!" Legolas didn't respond. His eyes had not moved. He was dead.

I am unaware of how the inferno first latched itself onto our forest, but I do know, however, that the only thing on my mind right now is you. I can only hope that you are safe, but if you are not, Greenleaf, I am certain that this realm will undoubtedly fall to its knees.

This is my version of Legolas and Aragorn's first meeting. Aragon is arrested by King Thranduil, and locked in his dungeons. If he wants to avoid execution, he'll have to find a way to escape.

An attack in Mirkwood results in the death of several guards and the unfortunate escape of the creature Gollum. Legolas blames himself and attempts to deal with anger and grief through a familiar routine. Those who bake know the futility of this approach. A short story of family and feelings.

In Minas Tirith, shortly after the fall of Sauron, Éowyn has her first encounter with the Elves who will (although none of them knows it yet) become far better friends when they all dwell in Ithilien.

Legolas has been summoned before the King's Council to answer for a mission that went disastrously wrong. Sequel to "Hours of Darkness".

Thorin's company makes Legolas their prisoner to get through Mirkwood safely/assure their release from Thranduil. He's treated and cared for by Glóin. AU/movie-verse for Hobbit. Because Glóin should have a story for Gimli and they couldn't let him die before getting to Erebor.

Distraught after their mother sets sail Elrohir and Elladan seek revenge hunting orcs refusing to return home. Their hunt for vengeance leads them far into Mirkwood, where with one of them injured they take refuge in Thranduil's halls, and meet a lonely elfling, Legolas.

Legolas is being run down by the hard responsibility of protecting Mirkwood from its enemies.

Seven of the Fellowship travel to Mirkwood, and six of them observe something they do not understand.
