"Not all those who wander are lost." - J.R.R. Tolkien. This quote holds a special place in my heart. Not only am I a huge fan of the Lord of the Rings series, but I myself often feel lost and unsure of where I am. I get restless and roam, sometimes taking a while from writing, but I always return to where I am meant to be. Mental illness is a struggle that I must live with and fight daily. Some days, or in my case months, are better than others. Depression, especially Bipolar Depression, is a terrible, terrible sentence in life. I am a traveller at heart and self-proclaimed 'geek'. I love any and all things Marvel - X-men, I started out writing X-men fanfics, were my first superhero love and Guardians of the Galaxy are gold. Aside from Marvel, I also have a fondness for DC. Batman is one of my all time favorites and the Justice League were team goals. I will always consider myself a Narnian - Narnia and Peter Pan were the first books to open my young eyes to the world of fantasy and I have been hooked ever since. Aside from these classics, I also adore Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, A Series of Unfortunate Events, A Series of Ice and Fire, The Wheel of Time, The Hunger Games, Divergent, The Maze Runner, and many, many more. The true 'classics' as our teachers would call them that caught my fancy are: Great Expectations, Gone With the Wind, and Jane Eyre. I speak French, English, and German. I read in those three as well as Danish, Latin, and Spanish - I'm currently working on Russian and Swahili.
