Author has written 2 stories for Harry Potter, and Fullmetal Alchemist. Why are you here?!I've only got one fic that's this [moves thumb and index finger 2 cm apart] long. I'd better put something super boring to scare you all away. Ok, I've got a B.A. in History from lovely commercialized UCLA. I, being a sado-masochist, plan on going back for a M.A. in Library Science and a Ph.D in (surprise surprise) History. Once I scrape together more money. Yay! Obviously, writing for a bunch of professors who get ecstatic at the thought of students who use spell checkers, leaves me supremely under-qualified for writing anything that shouldn't be left in an outhouse waiting for the next poor sap who runs out of toilet paper. But I digress... (No, not really!) You see, my many years of high school English will now leap out from the bushes and save me... What?! I was asleep during all of them?! Scratch that, I'm going to slink off into the aforementioned bushes and not crawl out until I write dry boring articles for obscure periodicals that no one will read but everyone will agree are marvelously insightful (I hope) Speaking of Harry Potter! (Which I wasn't...) My ship of the moment is SS/McG though I also have sailed and continue to sail D/G, R/S, and L/N. Heh with all this free space and nothing of importance to write about... I can finally inflict my favorite authors on whatever hapless fool keeps reading! I mean intelligent and discerning reader... [whistles innocently] I read most anything, and I have a list of authors I like a mile long. That being said, I'll just mention a few of the lesser known ones that I think should get more eye-print coverage. This is strictly for fun, no edification to be found here. Or at least not anything that your teachers would acknowledge. Fantasy - Emma Bull (Everyone loves urban fantasy... Don't they?) SF (Who says it's a man's world? Or uni-/multi-verse?) - C.S. Friedman (Her Fantasy is good, her SF is better!) Romance - Julia Quinn (You can respect her heroines and fall for her men because they're just so endearing and chivalrous. Her books are hilarious, charming, and just really sweet.) Mystery - Barbara Vine (Because you know you like twisted relationships and psychological thrillers. Plus she's a Dame so it must count for something, right? ^.~) Horror - Barbara Hambly (Read her for the vampires and for her intelligent, no-nonsense, if-Hermione-had-grown-up-at-the-turn-of-the-century heroine. And also if you developed a sneaking crush for Spock in her Star Trek Time Travel fic. Bet you didn't see that one coming.) my (meager) list of fanfics - Endless Sorrow is my songfic/prologue for a WiP. Well, it's not precisely a prologue as it actually takes place around a decade after the main fic. The going is slow though as I'm simultaneously slacking of from many many different fics! All my others are under a different name, I shall move them over posthaste! (or not...) |
