It became a new normal that they would run into each other once or twice a year, drawn together at Luke and Lorelai's for family holidays and events. I am not exactly Team Jess, based on the new reality of he and Rory being technically now family. I resisted writing this for a while. At the same time, I began to understand the soulmate kinship between Rory and Jess, and his ability to push her to be her best when no one else could. Let's pick up where Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life left off. It's the morning of Luke & Lorelei's wedding and there's still one couple yet to get together. Rory is NOT pregnant in my story. Rated M for exactly what you wanted to happen between Rory and Jess.

Can you remember who you were before the world told you who you should be? When Jess came to show Rory his book she took his words to heart and realized what she had done to herself, how far she had really fallen down the rabbit hole Emily Gilmore had led her to. So she takes a step back, assesses the situation and runs, following Jess and trying to put her life back together.

Letting Jess leave was a big mistake. After "Bridesmaids Revisited", Rory breaks up with Logan -for good. While at Logan's to pack her things, she finds the postcard from Jess & goes to Philly. Can they stop running & admit their feelings for one another? What would happen if this was their chance? Will it work out? Different take on canon events. Will go into post-series.
