Taylor Hebert had never wanted to become a villain. That just happened as she made one desperate choice after another until she got in too deep to get out. This time, her journey as a cape leads her the other way.

Wherein Taylor is somewhat more confident and perceptive, and Danny forced his family to watch old movies together.

We take the tale up in early February of 2011, when Sophia incites a group of boys to chase Taylor down and duct-tape her to a telephone pole. It all goes horribly wrong from the moment that they catch her. Things will never be the same again, for Taylor Hebert or for Brockton Bay.

Annette Hebert used to read Alice in Wonderland to her daughter every night, and now instead of triggering with control over insects, she triggers with a fractured mind that brings wonder and insanity to Brockton Bay.

"At that exact moment, Taylor Hebert connected to a vast alien entity. In most universes, she gets the power to control insects, in some, she gets a slightly different power. In this universe, in some cosmic case of wrong telephone number, Taylor connected to the wrong vast alien entity. In this universe, for a few seconds, Taylor Hebert connected to the Tyranid Hive Mind."

Taylor Hebert wants more than anything to save Brockton Bay from the many forces that imperil it, but some evils are harder to fight than others. Endbringers storming the beaches, gangsters interfering in politics, and strikebreakers suppressing the unions are trouble enough, but how can one girl stand against the impersonal and diffuse economic factors impoverishing her city?

In the hospital after Leviathan, knowing the truth of Shadow Stalker's identity and with both Armsmaster and Tattletale threatening the Truce, Taylor proposes a compromise. What if several Worm characters had a really bad day, the sort of day from which there is no coming back? What happens to Brockton Bay then?

I call on all who are sick of being a victim. Tired of being powerless. Who are ready and willing to make a change. Find me and I promise to provide you, your family and friends with something that the Protectorate doesn't. Safety. Find me and together, we will drag this planet of ours into a better age. A damaged Tinker device drags six alternate versions of Taylor Hebert to Skitter's reality and things could only escalate from there.

Winter raged around Taylor, who was sealed in her locker at freezing temperatures. The cold doesn't bother her anyway.

When faced with her bullies' apparent immunity to disciplinary action, Taylor Hebert decides the best course of action is to use her new power to investigate. After acquiring enough evidence to sink Sophia once and for all, she personally delivers it straight into the Protectorate's hands. Unfortunately, things don't go quite the way she had planned.

In an alternate universe, Taylor Hebert triggers with the powerset of a Bard, and begins her quest to create a better Brockton Bay. Slight crossover elements with Dungeons and Dragons (5th edition), but no knowledge necessary.

Summary: Brockton Bay has an amazingly temperate climate. But sometimes, winter storms come through anyways. Because of this, Taylor was left in the locker for much longer, with far reaching consequences. Disclaimer: I own nothing. Worm belongs to Wildbow. We just get to play in this universe. It is fanfiction, thus is by definition AU. All changes are for my entertainment.

There's only one way you find out you can't die. It was never pleasant. Nor was the fact that some otherworldly force was dragging her back to the nightmarish world that had killed her. (Very light gore warning)

The Entity was too slow - another being noticed Taylor in the locker first. Thus, a new path opens, one that might mean an end to all Brockton Bay's foes...or spell more destruction than even Scion is capable of.

Quarrel was allergic to bee stings, and now Taylor is the Butcher - but the Administrator shard is strong enough to hold off the voices in her head, for now. What will Taylor do, when circumstances conspire to keep her on the wrong side of the law?

Taylor gets a more Brutish power while in the locker. It's not as straightforward a power as she would wish so testing is required.

The creed of the shards is to promote conflict and overcome challenge, allowing for growth and innovation. One particular shard sees the chance to epitomize this, and so Taylor Hebert triggers with a power that seems hellbent on making her life difficult.

Frustrated and fed up with not being able to make any real change in the wake of Leviathan, Clockblocker has a series of chance encounters with Skitter that make him question his tightly held morals. (Clockblocker joins the Undersiders, NOT Taylor/Dennis)

The city is built by people and needs people to exist, but it doesn't care about any single person. It's a great beast that grew bigger than human mind can fathom, and it imposes its own rules upon reality. Those rules, however, could be exploited by those foolish enough to try. AU. After slaying a monster to protect a former friend, Taylor absorbs something of him-and his mutative power, encoded in his genes. Reborn as a monster queen in waiting, the newest member of the Wards faces fear, confusion about her new life...and a rather crazy group of other monster-kings just arrived on Earth Bet, looking to carve out the world for their own kingdoms.

Taylor spends more time in the locker, gets worse injuries and has an earlier introduction to the cape world.

Worm is a dark world, a grim world. Everything is gritty, everyone has an agenda. The world itself is spiraling toward ruin. Enter Hope. She's just a nice kid with a unique set of superpowers, who only wants to help people. But will she have enough of an effect on the world to stave off disaster? Only time will tell. NOTE: Hope is an original character, created using the GURPS RPG.
