Tale of a Mew

The story I am currently working on. It is set in a Pokémon Mystery Dungeon universe, with a Stone Age visual asthenic. It will be primarily an adventure/mystery story, with a few other genres in it. It is set on an island of my design, called Avalon.

Main Characters

Myu the Shiny Mew – The main character of the story, Myu is a former human who showed up on the island of Avalon one day. He lives in Crimson Village, with the Chieftess’ daughter Bella. Part of his character arc for the first book is dealing with his new life as a Pokémon. Another arc is that he is dissatisfied with how village life is run, and tells others how his ‘land’ runs, and tries to encourage a positive change, primarily more independence and equality for every Pokémon. He is leader of a team of young Pokémon which explores Avalon.

Bella Azar the Shiny Kirlia – She is the female protagonist of the story, and daughter of the Chieftess. She is the one who finds Myu and brings him back to Crimson Village. She is prearranged to be mates with an Eelektross called Dominus, though she isn’t happy with it. She eventually falls for Myu, and is encouraged by his beliefs to try and find a way out of her prearranged mate with Dominus.

Lykos the Riolu – The youngest member of the main cast, as well as the most eager. He craves adventure, and is always the first to volunteer for Myu’s adventures. He is currently in a relationship with Mimi the Buneary.

Mimi the Buneary – A caretaker of Crimson Village, her main duty is tending to the flora surrounding the village. She is the healer of Myu’s team, and is also the main conscience of the team. However, she enjoys battle, and always practices her moves in private to not be subjected to the prejudice that all females face.

Zeni the Squirtle – The main brains of the team, Zeni loves knowledge more than anything. Whenever he comes across something old, he is the first to get excited. He stores things in his shell, allowing him to carry supplies or materials his team needs. He has a close friendship with Myu, who is also the more intelligent of his team.

Ryu the Dratini – The powerhouse of her team, Ryu comes because of how kind Myu is to her. Though she is strongest, she doesn’t use her strength often as she is scared of it. She cares deeply for her teammates, to the point where she will put herself in danger to protect them. She is very shy, but opens up around her teammates.

Side Characters (so far)

Devoir Azar the Gardevoir – The Chieftess of Crimson Village. She accepts Myu into her home as she can sense something unique about him. She leads the village and protects it to the best of her ability. She accepts help from Myu because he, at times, shows how capable a leader he is. Though she initially wants Dominus to be chief, she begins to think Myu might make a better leader than him.

Dominus the Eelektross – This story’s anti-hero, he is Bella’s mate-to-be when they are both old enough. He believes himself to be the rightful future Chief and confident in his abilities to the point of arrogance. This often lands him in more trouble than he can handle. When Bella starts showing more affection for Myu than him, he starts trying to one-up the Mew to try and look better, though this just makes him look like a fool.

Locations

Avalon – The main land this story takes place on, Avalon is the home of all the Pokémon. Twelve villages are scattered throughout the land. Avalon is mostly grassy plains with trees scattered here and there. There is also a lake, a mountain, a forest, and a desert. Avalon also has many secrets that have been lost to time, and part of the story will revolve around discovering those secrets.

Crimson Village – The main village of the story. Myu and his friends go there at the end of every adventure to recuperate. Crimson Village is located near the sea, with a cove east of it where the Pokémon go to have fun.

Teams

Team Orion – Myu’s team, he leads the members to explore Avalon.

I know I haven’t been doing much on here lately, but that’s mostly because I’ve been busy helping to modify our house’s basement so it’s more livable. I’ve actually moved into the basement now, which is now an apartment.

But I’ve also been working on my stories, and I’ve come close to completing a new one. This story is planned to be eight chapters long, with a prologue and an epilogue. But I’ve got more than this in the works. Since this one is shorter, I’m trying to get it out of the way first before I move on to my other stories.

Here’s a list of everything that’s in the works.

A World Reborn – This is the story I’m working on now. It was inspired in part by the Planet of the Apes franchise, and so some themes have worked their way in them, mostly the theme of racial relations. It’s set in a post-apocalyptic world (our world), where a nuclear war had destroyed the world, rendering it lifeless, save for a small patch of forest created by the focus character, who guides the Pokémon to be more peaceful than humanity. But their peaceful lives are shatter when it’s discovered that a small group of humans survive. The two races try to live together, but tensions between them both make it nearly impossible.

Pokémon Unite – I’ve been promising this one for a while, and I have gotten three chapters finished out of an estimated eighteen. This will take focus when my other story is complete. It focuses on a group of enhanced Pokémon as they fight against evil forces. This group is lead by Zack the Pikachu, and the world is a modern-day Earth, where humans and Pokémon live as two races.

Tale of a Mew – I’m planning on finishing the first book after I do the first book of Pokémon Unite. The first six chapters are still up, but I stopped posting as I lost sight of where I wanted to go. Now I’m going to finish it before I resume posting.

Pokémon Wars – This story is set in the Pokémon Anime universe. It takes place years after its completion. By the start of it, Ash Ketchum has been the Champion of Kanto for a couple weeks, but one night in Pallet Town, he catches sight of what at first seems to be a shooting star, but it is actually an alien ship that crashes in Viridian Forest. Ash investigates and finds a Transhuman (an advanced race of humans) named Kosmos along with his three pets; his Direwolf Asena, his Golden Eagle Haru, and a young black Dragon named Valeryon. Ash reunites with several of his friends in the story as the fights Team Rocket, along with an enemy of Kosmos’ people called Oni.

Blind Ash Story (Name to Be Determined) – lately, I’ve been reading a lot of fanfiction that changes something about Ash or his first day to create a whole new story. To test my creativity, I decided to try a story like this. The most prominent change I made to Ash is he is blind. So far, my plan is to do the Original Series, doing only the episodes with relevant plot. Some differences in Ash’s character will be more intelligent and more mature. Additionally, he will have a Riolu by his side at all times, as his purpose in universe is to assist Ash.

A Dragon’s Tale – An original story that is still early in development, it follows the tale of a Dragon-Human hybrid as he makes his way through the world, a world where Dragons and Humans are always at war. The first book is about him and his adopted sister as they try to bring the Human-Shadow Elf Princess to safety after a Dragon attack destroys her kingdom and kills her parents. He must also contend with her Shadow Elf bodyguard, who doubts his noble intentions. The story incorporates the themes of balance, racism, and nature vs nurture (centered around the main character).

Now, I've been debating about this for a while, and I think it's time I change my Username. Back when I created this username, Bionicle had been my main interest. But now that's Pokémon, so I think I'll change my username across all accounts that allow it. I've been trying to decide on what it should be, and I think I'll keep the 98 in it, since that's what everyone calls me for short. But I've come up with a new username: Myu98. Tell me what you guys think. Also, I'm going to be changing my profile icon too. I'm not an artist, so I couldn't draw a blue Mew that didn't look horrible. I use a game called Spore to make the head shot you see, and I'm going to update it so it looks a little better. Of course, I'd be receiving to a real artist making a profile icon for me here and on DeviantART too.
