This is Bushwah's alt account. I use it for warning and/or reporting stories that violate the FanFiction rules.

I use this account's "favorite stories" and "favorite authors" lists to keep track of rulebreakers. My recs are on my real account.

If you want to talk to me, don't use this account. Also, if you'd like to leave a review on one of my stories, that is comments of any kind, please feel free. I'm fairly flame-resistant, so blowing off steam isn't a problem, and if you have concrit, I'll do my best to pay attention.

If I am breaking the rules with my stories, profiles, reviews or other content or behavior, please do not hesitate to tell me. I would be rather hypocritical if I did not immediately do my best to repair such a blunder after learning that it had been committed.

If you get a review from me, and it isn't blindingly obvious that I'm telling you you're breaking the rules, and I don't fave you or your story, it's just a review. I do that sometimes.

I report announcements of all kinds posted as stories. Often, I don't even read them all the way through. No matter what a person is saying, if something is posted as a story and it is not a story, I will report it. For instance, when an announcement is criticizing FF, I don't report it because it's criticizing FF; I report it because it's not a story.

If you really think your non-story been discriminated against even after seeing my policy regarding non-stories, send me a PM -- preferably, a PM to "Bushwah", as I'm not usually on this account -- and I'll try to straighten things out.

I did not write the Rules & Guidelines. They are property of FanFiction dot Net. I have slightly modified the formatting of the copy that appears here due to the limited selection of codes allowed in profiles; however, the text, paragraph breaks, numbering, etc. are intended to be identical in all cases.

This copy of the Rules & Guidelines is presented for reference purposes only, makes me no money, and is intended to be used in support of its original purpose. I believe that I am not breaking any site rules or US or international laws by copying it. If anyone, admin or not, believes otherwise, please contact me and I will remove it as soon as possible.

Community Etiquette

FanFiction does not filter content and is an open system that trusts the writer's judgement. However, there is an inherent responsibility that falls to writers as a result.

Here is a list of conducts that should always be observed:

1. Spell check all story and poetry. There is no excuse for not performing this duty. If you do not have a word processor that has the spell checking feature, use a search engine such as Google.com to find one.
2. Proofread all entries for grammar and other aspects of writing before submission. 'Hot off the press' content is often riddled with errors. No one is perfect but it is the duty of the writer to perform to the best of his/her ability.
3. Respect the reviewers. Not all reviews will strictly praise the work. If someone rightfully criticizes a portion of the writing, take it as a compliment that the reviewer has opted to spend his/her valuable time to help improve your writing.
4. Everyone here is an aspiring writer. Respect your fellow members and lend a helping a hand when they need it. Like many things, the path to becoming a better writer is often a two way street.

FanFiction Content Guidelines:

The chapter system is not to be used as placeholder for non-story content such as author notes. You can add short author notes to the beginning or at the end of stories but never as individual chapters.

FanFiction is not an archive for non-fanfiction literary works. Please visit FictionPress to publish your non-fanfiction literary works.

Do not upload chapters, series, or segments of a story as separate entries. In order to submit a 5 chapter story, for example, use the 'Create Story' page to submit chapter 1, and then use the 'Edit/Upload chapter' feature in the left menu, after login, to submit chapters 2 through 5.

Entries not allowed:

1. Non-stories: lists, bloopers, polls, previews, challenges, author notes, and etc.
2. One or two liners.
3. MST: comments inserted in between the flow of a copied story.
4. Stories with non-historical and non-fictional characters: actors, musicians, and etc.
5. Any form of interactive entry: choose your adventure, second person/you based, Q&As, and etc.
6. Chat/script format and keyboard dialogue based entries.

Actions not allowed:

1. Multiple entries of the same material. There can only be one copy of any unique story on the entire site. No exceptions.
2. Rewriting names of characters/locations of one story in order to upload to multiple categories.
3. Copying from a previously published work (including musical lyrics) not in the public domain.

General rules:

1. Entry title and summary must be rated K for all audience. No exceptions.
2. Entry must be given the proper rating. No exceptions.
3. Entry must be placed in proper category. No exceptions.
4. Chapters of the same story are not allowed to be submitted as separate entries. All chapters/segments must be grouped together using the 'edit/upload chapter' feature in the left menu.

I cannot here reproduce the Content Ratings iframe, which can be found on the official Rules & Guidelines page, in the dashboard copy of it, or at fictionratings.com. Right above it, however, there is this line:

"Please note FanFiction does not accept explicit content, Fiction Rating: MA, and the rating is only presented for reference." (Quote taken from FanFiction Rules & Guidelines on April 8, 2014.)

Everyone who has submitted a story to this site since that line was added on September 12, 2002, agreed to that rule before the story was posted.

When this was written, and for as long as I can remember before that, it was and has been in red. Bright red.

Not knowing of that rule shouldn't be possible. -Just saying.
