![]() Author has written 6 stories for Harry Potter, and Avatar: Last Airbender. Basics facts about me, if you must know: I'm in university now (most stories were written when I was in high school though) but I love writing, and so I use this website to practice. Favourite book/TV show/movie: Don't really have one. To be honest, I can appreciate a lot of them, but it's hard to choose. Fantasy is my favourite genre. Game of Thrones (TV show and books) is a good one; I enjoyed BBC's Merlin and BBC's Sherlock. I was kickstarted into fantasy with the Harry Potter series, so that's always a good throwback. Recently became more interested in anime (mostly top-tier ones), like Death Note and Code Geass; Attack on Titan is good too. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is also a favourite. Anyway, I constantly find more things I like, so perhaps I'll update this list more later on. While I can't think of a favourite book, I appease this with my writing, because of a quote I once read. "Whatever you can't read, you must write." It was something along those lines, and it is one of the truest things I have heard. If you aren't satisfied with a piece of writing, or you want to read about an idea for a story, or you want a story to go along the way you wish it to, the only thing you can do is write it yourself to see it come to life; which is exactly what I will try to do. At any rate, I have not tried several different styles yet; I usually stick to drama/angst and character studies, but I will probably attempt to try new categories in the future. I want to try different genres, stories, and characters to increase my skill, so you will probably notice changes in story types and fandoms and such. Bear with me if you will, but I am a practicing writer, not a practiced one; so I hope you enjoy my attempts at writing well-written stories. Anyway, on a completely different note, I just wanted to say, if you have been a reviewer on my Albus Potter Series, I have decided not to continue. Many of you seemed to like it (for whatever reason I cannot fathom), but I read it over and I...really didn't. I have no idea what you saw in it (no offense, if this is at all offensive). I'm actually a huge hypocrite. I say that it is difficult for a book to please me because they don't have the right mix of technically well-written plot and emotion/character development. My story lacked both, but especially emotion. I don't think there's any way for me to continue on what I wrote. Perhaps I will attempt to start over; using the same basic ideas (since I did have one for the series); but there is no way I can continue with that monstrosity staring me in the face. I wrote that story when I was still in middle school, actually (I was 13 years old), so maybe that explains why my skill wasn't so refined, to put it lightly. I have resolved to the fact that I will post some stories unrelated to the Albus Potter series, to test my writing skills (and for enjoyment); and if anyone bothers to read my old Albus Potter book(s), you will probably be able to see a stark difference. Hopefully. I feel my writing has improved greatly since then, so if I were to start over, it would go a lot better (and I would attempt to have it more organized). Don't get your hopes up (if anyone reading this cares at all, or is even reading this), but I will keep the idea of a rewrite for this series in mind. Hopefully, you'll enjoy other stories I hope to post. |
