Summary: Once homeless, Noriko Ashida has been brought back to the mansion by Logan, so she may get help for her formidable mutant powers. Now fitting in, coping with the mechanics invented to stabilize her powers, and escaping her family are her biggest problems.

My call: A wonderful story about a real X-Man, Noriko Ashida from Japan - featured in The New X-Men: Academy X - and her difficulty in dealing with the metal gloves - gauntlets - which supress her power so she cannot hurt anyone. Along with dealing with going to school, Duncan, and the ever-so popular Danger Room sessions, Noriko must deal with a predujice father who's only worry is about looking like a bad dad. The only problems with this story I noticed was that there were some slight mistakes, such as "Rayne" instead of "Rahne" in one chapter, and saying she instead of he. Also, she does not explain why Theresa Cassidy is curt to Nori and she only mentions Danielle Moonstar once even though she should have been in the Danger Room session along with the other mutants (this problem also applies to Theresa.) Lastly, there are age problems - the age ranges should be between grade seven and at least Highschool, mostly split up evenly. However, the latter problem isn't a big deal since it is marked as being "Slightly AU" anyways. Still, this is a good read and I stayed up until 1:15 AM on a school night to read it. Or, rather, school morning. Rating: 4/5
