 Author has written 3 stories for Ella Enchanted. I'm a twenty-something grad student and an avid book lover. I read anything I can get my hands on. My stories: Char's Story is a fic I wrote a loooong, looooong time ago. I had a little crush on Char ever since I read Ella Enchanted for the first time at the age of 12, and honestly, I just wanted to write his feelings about Ella because I was a teenage girl with stars in her eyes. I wasn't terribly interested in telling a complete story -- I was too caught up in the romance. I cringe a bit at its existence now, but I'm still proud of my teenage self for actually sitting down and writing something. The Princess and the Prophecy sprang from my desire to write a fantasy tale with a bit more substance, and also from an urge to revisit Ella Enchanted and the characters I fell in love with so long ago. As well as all that, I wanted to pull out some well-known fairy tale archetypes and throw them into a plot that I concocted -- inspired by a mix of my experiences with fantasy and fairy tale stories. |
