Author has written 4 stories for M*A*S*H, and Harry Potter.
My name is Beatrice Acrobat.

I write fanfiction socially, original fiction seriously, and reviews in order to understand my responses to what I read in a deeper way. I love fandom because it permits the cooperative constructive exploration of a character. I have met many wonderful people through fanfiction archives and mailing lists and I appreciate the support both of my beta readers and those readers who take the time to review. My fandoms are House MD, Due South, Harry Potter and MASH, but these days I can be found writing in the former more often than not. I have a fascination with well-written original characters and I strive to make my fanfiction entirely my own, so my stories often stray far from the original media upon which they are based.

I have far too many interests. In my spare time, I read and do a lot of needlework and beadwork. I am also fond of cycling, canoeing, drawing, photography, and playing Dungeons and Dragons. I read a lot of young adult fiction, but I love any story that carries my imagination away and allows me to forget the world outside. My favourite books include The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay by Michael Chabon, Mme Proust and the Kosher Kitchen by Kate Taylor, Liquor by Poppy Z. Brite, White Teeth by Zadie Smith, The Wind Up Bird Chronicle by Haruki Murakami, The Golden Compass by Philip Pullman, The Passion by Jeannette Winterson, green grass, running water by Thomas King, Fall On Your Knees by Ann Marie MacDonald, and Fifth Business by Robertson Davies. My favourite poets are Allen Ginsberg, e.e. cummings, Ted Hughes, Seamus Heaney, Stevie Smith, Shel Silverstein, Tennyson, and Gwendolyn MacEwen. My favourite movies are Blow Dry, Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Poulain, Beetlejuice, Love Actually, The Cat Returns and Dead Poets Society, and I will watch anything that has to do with werewolves.
