What kind of stuff will be posted under the name of this account? Basically just Soul Eater Fan Fiction.
A little more about that: The SE FanFiction that I will eventually be posting and updating hopefully is based off of an idea, plot, and OCs I came up with around 6th grade. So, that's about 6 years ago. I've been sitting and re-creating this idea for the past 6 years, of course that means it's not perfect. Let's face it, fan fictions weren't meant to be perfect. They're meant for fun and sharing. I'm finally trying to upload this fan fiction for my younger self, the whole thing is dedicated to her dream. Basically to create a continuation of the anime series of Soul Eater, or re-tell the series as well, and do it in a way that made sense to her at the moment, while making others happy too along the way.
There's a lot of personal things represented in certain happening within the story, a lot of the problems in the plot are very dramatic and are magnified versions of seemingly small unhappy things going on in past me's life ( and maybe even current me ). Most of my old OCs that I had made for the story were just different versions of what I wished I could be, or what I didn't like most about me. Keep in mind I've kept most character designs the same as they've always had been, so these OCs were made by a 6th grader (just remember that). I hope that I have polished this past little 6th grader's ideas and writings well enough that the story can reach and be more entertaining to older and more broad audiences.
My Take on Shipping:
I have this thing were I feel very uncomfortable with shipping canon characters with each other. I don't exactly know why I'm so bothered by this, I can acknowledge that some characters may look aesthetically pleasing together but I don't usually support them. Some ships make me more uncomfortable than others, a lot of them I can tolerate. An example would be SoMa, the Maka and Soul ship. They are not a canon couple, but because their original author/creator likes the idea of the two being in a romantic relationship together I'm a bit more okay with the thought of it.
One of the weird things, at least in my opinion, is that I'm actually 100% fine with people shipping their OCs with canon characters- even more strange is that I'm also fine if that OC is incredibly Mary-Sue or Gary-Stu . I'm also not sure exactly why I'm so much more comfortable with this. I think it's probably because when people ship an OC with a real character the OC was kind of created for this character, so most of the time the OCs are actually compatible with the character they are being shipped with. I guess, in some sense, that it just makes more sense to me that a character would slowly fall in love with a new character they haven't met before instead of suddenly developing a romantic relationship with a character they've known for a while that's obviously a platonic friend. Maybe it's because the fantasy of someone being created and meant, like a destiny, for another character is romantic and dramatic.
But whatever, people have opinions and are un/comfortable with certain things. I'd just like to let everyone know that in any Fics I post... that if there is shipping in it it will be 98% likely that the shipping will be between an OC and pre-existing character.
this has been a warning
THIS AUTHOR IS A SUPPORTER OF A MALE IDENTIFYING CRONA
I'd just like to clear this right up off the bat now, too. I like to think that individually everyone is right about their thoughts on Crona's gender or what their genitalia looks like. I think, no matter what you think is official or not, that whatever makes you feel more comfortable should be what Crona's gender is to you. I think it makes their character a lot more personal and close. I don't care if you think Crona's character is female in the manga or male in the anime: you are correct because that's what you like. You like Crona better as genderfluid because it makes you more comfortable with your own identity? That's perfect and amazing, I love that you chose that for them. Bigender? Trans? Agender? DemiBoy? They're all correct because you decide what's correct. It makes you feel strong, powerful and in control.
What I'd like to get across is that I personally feel the most comfortable with an anatomical male bodied, male identifying Crona. I don't think anyone has to justify why they think Crona is whatever they think- but one of the main reasons I personally prefer Crona this way is because I feel he is a really great character that breaks and challenges male gender norms. Boys don't normally wear dresses ( or even robes if you'd like to argue that Crona is wearing a robe), or have a body figure like his for example. Even though he's a boy he's very feminine and I think that's very cool and special. I personally look up to this character for that among other things.
You want to have fun cringing? Have a fun glance back at my old profile! I changed its username but it was the original CrypticCharmander account. Now it resides under the username of BackToThePastCrypticCharmander as a time machine back to my 12-13 year old writings. I left it completely unedited (besides the obvious) and they are originals from me back then. Have fun looking through that trash- it really embarrasses me.
Full FanFic Description for "It Takes More Than Just The Soul"
Genres: Action, Comedy, Fantasy, Romance
Set in the beginning of "Sink or Swim?! The Men who Transcend the Gods?" of the 4th season of the English dubbed Anime, we discover an underlying secret lurking within the jungles of the Amazon. As our godly sight as viewers grants us, our attentions are brought to a new perspective of the happenings in the Soul Eater universe. This Retelling of the story involves the struggle of morals, trust, love, religious interpretation, views on what's perfect, real-life scenarios, the effects of the choices made by people in power and the ones who fall victim to the shorter end of bargains and society.
This Fan Fiction/Retelling contains the use of multiple OCs, and the Soul Eater universe in "It Takes More Than Just The Soul" becomes an AU where more possibilities and happenings are confirmed ( which are no way canon in the original and would be highly unlikely ).
May contain Author's OCs X Original Anime Characters, may contain Author's OCs X Author's OCs, may contain Original Anime Characters X Original Anime characters. ( Break ups could be a possibility )
Very sensitive material is contained within this Fic. This Fic will remain view-able to all ages until chapters start to become problematic, then settings will be changed to M ( this may be due to violence, excessive bad language or offensive comments, or increase of detailed sexual accounts ).
Warning: Chapters will take forever to upload. Author is a procrastinator.
If you find an issue within any of the chapters, please private message me so I can properly fix it. Or leave a comment if that happens to be easier. These could be any sort of issues, I'm specifically looking for any sort of typos ( not including grammatical errors- I would like to keep most of them due to how it accurately expresses how I shape my sentences in real life speech and or how I picture some character's speech would be ). I happen to be dyslexic, and even though I had been getting better with these problems over the years... one car accident and concussion later... has brought back my symptoms and slight memory loss. I'd appreciate any kind help.
List of typos in each chapter
- In chapter one, while Eruka is being introduced into the story, there is a typo where instead of the word "cloak" it says "clock". Simple typo error that slipped by the Beta readers and my own eyes. I'll be fixed as soon as I can get to a computer that has the document saved on it.
