I have a secret that's been eating away at me for years now, which I've finally come to terms with after a lot of thought and consideration.

I hate almost all of my old Danny Phantom stories.

For about three years now, I've tried to reread them and every time I do I just wince at how badly I wrote them. It's one of the reasons I've had a lot of difficulty trying to restart a lot of them, even though I know a lot of you guys still really enjoy them. I feel like I've evolved so much as a writer and a fan from the days when I first began stories like Gender Confusion, Blackbird, Frights, Camera, Action and other earlier works like that, that I'm actually embarrassed to have them in my gallery. The constant crashing of my old computer and the fact that my life was so busy at the time didn't help matters, either, so after a while I just figured that I'd ignore all the stories that didn't mesh with who I was becoming. If other people were into them and wanted to try and work on them, great, they could have them, but I kinda really didn't want them for myself anymore.

Looking back now, I realize that this was really immature of me. After all, these were stories that I wrote when I was still trying to find myself as a writer, so of course it would be awkward compared to what I could write now, with a few years and a lot of practice under my belt. The success of Gender Confusion specifically overwhelmed me in a way that I wasn't ready for at the time, and I was so concerned with updating as quickly as possible that the quality of my work really suffered for it. Then I was afraid that if I said anything or tried to fix the stuff that was bothering me, people would get mad that I was fussing over details in earlier chapters that apparently only I had a problem with rather then working on new updates and such. I wanted so much to make other people happy that I just kind of grit my teeth and let it be, even though it was killing me.

Now though, I realize that even though I like to make people happy with my stories, it doesn't really mean much if I can't make myself happy, too. That was the whole reason I started writing fanfics in the first place is because I love these shows, these characters, and the situations they find themselves in. I had all these ideas and all sorts of fun things I wanted to try, and I still do. I love all the people I've met through the Danny Phantom fandom, and I really do want to make other people happy with my writing, but I need to be able to say that I'm proud of what I've created too.

This is why I've decided to revise all my old Danny Phantom stories and clean them up.

I can't say how long this process will take, or when the revisions will be up. I want to make sure that I am happy with what I'm putting up before anything, and that will not be accomplished quickly or easily. Especially not while I have college and possibly a new job to contend with as well. Rest assured, though, that I don't intend in abandoning this any more. You can't just run away from something you're not happy with, not if you want to grow as a person.

Title; Returning the Favor

Summary; In which Kyouko is kidnapped and very, very confused, Yashiro is distraught and Lory is NOT amused. At all.

Genres; Humor, Family.

Rating; I could probably get away with K, but will probably keep it T to stay on the safe side.

Length; 5 Chapters. For real this time.

Notes; Sweet and fluffy. This one's been running around in my head for a while now, but I only just got the courage to put it on paper. Not really a romantically inspired fic, but it does have some flavorings of Ren/Kyouko. I won't say much more then that, though, to keep the story itself a surprise.

Title; Hath No Fury

Summary; Ren’s past comes back to haunt him in the worse way possible, and Kyouko may be the one who has to suffer for his crimes. Tina has found the man who murdered her fiancée, and she doesn’t intend to let him go unpunished…

Genres; Horror, Romance

Rating; M. I don't feel comfortable putting it as anything else. No chance of lemons, though, so don't think that's the reason.

Length; 21 Chapters. 'sobs' I... I just kept planning and planning with the Overview, but the story wouldn't STOP!

Notes; Daaaaaark story. This struck me the minute we saw the flashback with Rick, and it wouldn't let go no matter how much I fought it. Deals with violence, mental instability and torture. It's kept me up many a night with the eww factor, and I'm the one who came up with it. A little more generous with the Ren/Kyouko pairing though, but I don't think the fans will feel very grateful to me for it...

When will you update 'insert story title here?'

With the exception of PaP and FCA, which have been discontinued, all of my incomplete stories will be updated at some point of time or another. However, you have to understand that writing is an outlet for me, and I am under no obligation to finish any one story or another. I'm very happy people like my stories, but being constantly badgered for updates has really worn my nerves thin. Therefore I will not respond to any reviews inquiring about when specific stories will be updated.

Will you read my story?

I'd never refuse to read stories. I can't guarantee I'll get to it right away, but when I get free time I'll take a look at it. Be warned though, I like to give well rounded reviews, which I find are more helpful then 'Great Chapter, Update Soon.' I believe that the main thing fanfiction writers should be trying to accomplish here is improvement of their writing abilities, and I'm willing to help in any way I can.

Can I use one of your Characters/Ideas?

I'm happy to lend out nearly anything, as long as people are nice enough to ask first and credit me properly. I'm paranoid about thieves, so if you see anything used in one of my stories some place else and notice that I'm not credited, please feel free to contact me with the story title and penname of the user in question so I can look into the matter myself. Please don't start harrassing the person yourself. As flattering as it is to have people come to my defence it tends to make things worse in the long run...

Will you help me with something?

Of course! I'm happy to help people in any way I can, and I love hearing other people's ideas for stories if they're looking for someone to critique them. bouncing ideas off of other people is a good way to get a feel for how receptive others will be to your ideas, and I do it myself with my friends.
