About me: Hey all, I'm Kat. I'm in college as an Aerospace Engineering major, and training to become a bonified Rocket Scientist. Nifty, huh? In my free time I like hanging out, building rockets (the big ones too! I'm Tripoli L1 Certified, woo!), reading both books and fanfic, and natually, taking over the world. I have nine reindeer and Santa as my cohorts, along with two pink faeries and a unicorn. One of these days I'll post a fanfic of my own, but I have to overcome a severe case of writer's block first. That, and overcome the massive ammounts of homework I seem to accumulate on a nightly basis, whether I'm in school or on break. Or so it seems. The first five pages are written, and the rest more or less outlined, but in the end, I think it comes down to being an engineer. I r engineer. I speeke engrish gud. I'm a Rocket Scientist, what can I say? Favorite Animes (in no particular order): Gundam Wing, Escaflowne, Fullmetal Alchemist, DNAngel, Orphen, Raxephon, Inu-Yasha, Wolf's Rain, Rurouni Kenshin, Samurai X, Twelve Kingdoms (Absolutely amazing! You must see this one!), Naruto (and then the dubbers butchered it. Never changed the channel so quickly in my life) Favorite Video Games: Final Fantasy VII; Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time; Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess Favorite Books: Green Rider, First Rider's Call, High King's Tomb (coming in November! I've been waiting five years for it!) (all by the esteemed Kristen Britain, and my favorite books by far); Song in the Silence, The Lesser Kindred, Redeeming the Lost (all by Elizabeth Kearner); Crown Duel (by Sherwood Smith); Son of Avonar (by Carol Berg); Once a Hero (by Michael A. Stackpole); anything set in the world of Tortall by Tamora Pierce; many books by Anne McCaffrey (my favorite of hers I think was All the Wyers of Pern. So good, yet so sad!); Riding Rockets (Alternately absolutely hillarious and serious, and at times a little sad. An astronaut's memoir by Mike Mullane, one of the original 35 shuttle astronauts (or TFNGs for those who know) ) Pride and Prejudice (by Jane Austen, as if you didn't know), Horatio Hornblower (all the novels in that series by CS Forester) ... the list goes on |
