Welcome!

I write a lot of original stuff, mostly fantasy, often during school hours and late at night. So far the only fanfiction I've been able to write is for National Treasure, for some unexplained reason. Anything else just never gets finished. Of course, I have a hard enough time finishing anything. I'll just move on to whatever great idea came along and write some of that. I participated in National Novel Writing Month and actually finished in time, so I suppose there's hope for me yet.

My muse's name is Arika, and she's also been dubbed my British evil side. I often have conversations with her while looking for inspiration or plotting evil deeds. (Not out loud, of course. Wouldn't want it to be said that I talk to myself. Which I do. A lot.)

Favorite Colors: Green and black.

Favorite Activities: Walking in the rain, reading, watching action/adventure movies, online virtual worlds, going to old bookstores, playing with my cats, staying up late at night staring a computer screen struggling with whatever new program caught my eye...

Favorite Books: anything by Tamora Pierce or Robin McKinley, Neil Gaiman, Patricia McKillip, Elizabeth Moon; usually anything that catches my eye. I tend to like dark fantasy and soap operas (which don't go together at all...) but read some historical novels as well. Bernard Cornwall's books are some of my favorites in historical fiction. Not real big into science fiction, but if it isn't too full of technical terms I'll read it. I'll actually read most anything, so finding books is never a problem.

Favorite Movies: National Treasure, Star Wars, Goldeneye, Indiana Jones (The Last Crusade), Pride and Prejudice (BBC TV version), Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, all of the Richard Sharpe TV series (except Sharpe's Gold), Hildago, Phantom of the Opera, Tomb Raider (first one especially), Lord of the Rings, Salt, Firewall...

TV shows: Just got indoctrinated into the world of Bleach. I'm practically foaming at the mouth with this newest obsession, so expect some fan-fiction from that universe coming up at some point as well. Once again, my propensity to fall for the bad guy bit me again. New favorite character, Sosuke Aizen. *grins madly* Ahem. Well, onward.

Current Projects: (3-19-12) - Rewriting Not My Definition of Fun! I can not believe how many grammatical errors I made in that. And the plot's getting changed a bit, and all the unnecessary stuff is getting cut out. (Supposedly there was a plan for half that junk but since I can't remember it, out it goes! Most of my plot bunnies ran away from that story anyway.) Yes, I am going to fix this! I will...

Projects:

1). National Treasure:Not my Definition of Fun! - Status: Finished!(Old version only. Currently being rewritten, which will not be put up until almost completed.)

2).Not My Definition of Entertainment! - The sequel to NMDF. Tie in to National Treasure:Book of Secrets.. .Status: Completly given up on. The plot is gone! I'm going to go back and rewrite this (and finish it) when I do the first one.

3). Last Goodbye- Status: Unfinished! I'm attempting to write up a suitably tragic backstory. Happens sometime after National Treasure. Ian Howe, in prison, gets a visit from a figure in his past. This was a random idea I got, and had to write. Somewhat tragic, depends on how you look at it. Written by request for a friend.
