When you take the GMAT, there are three sections to the test: a quantitative segment, an analytical writing segment, and a verbal section. The two the verbal and quantitative sections are scored on a -sixty level scale. The analytical composing segment is scored on a -6 scale, but this part of the test takes the form of two essays that don't count towards your overall GMAT test score.
