This profile was originally created as a means to get up a structure and workshop for my STH2006 project, which is split into twelve individual stories (not counting the Last Story and the prologues) all interconnected with one another to form one giant storytelling. Original Sonic Characters

Mecha Shadow: A conceptual metallic counterpart of Shadow the Hedgehog. Not built by either Eggman or Doctor Nega. (Max is still working out the kinks on this one.)

Metal Silver: A metallic hedgehog counterpart to Silver the Hedgehog, built around the biometric data obtained from said foe. Metal Silver is modelled with extreme accuracy after Silver to the point that he not only resembles his template but can also imitate his moves, tap into prowess strikingly similar to Silver's telekinesis and even achieve velocities matching and even exceeding that of his doublegänger with his truster boosts.

Where Silver is awkward and kind, Metal Silver counters his organic doublegänger with sass and indifference, taking a vicious delight in their rivalry and uncaring of the casualty around. Unlike Metal Sonic, and Metal Sonic 3.0, Metal Silver is acutely aware that he is not the "real" Silver as, per his definition, no such thing exists. Instead, he opts for improving himself to better meet his opponent blow-by-blow.

Built at the hands of Eggman Nega, Metal Silver is by far one of Silver's most formidable foes in history, but he also poses a self-independence that made way to intelligence and a slight rebelliousness, a feast that Nega has since given up trying to delete from his programming as it continues to manifest no matter what he tries. Though notoriously known for his work as Nega's most deadly enforcer, Metal Silver is not exactly what one would call an obedient Super Badnik like Metal Sonic was to Doctor Eggman as Metal Silver will sometimes postpone or even ignore a direct command.

Reckless as they come, Metal Silver's ultimate goal will always be to out-do Silver, and he tends to jump head-first into the fire when the two cross paths, though less so when he has another mission objective at hand. However, he's also been seen to express a lofty attitude and flat-out ignore the other simply because he finds it amusing to rile up his rival. An aggressive and ruthless killing machine, and suffering from a superiority complex that's rendered him more ill will than good, Metal Silver is also known for his tactics and being, fairly, reasonable at times.

Venice the Prototype: Originally a science experiment created by Doctor Eggman Nega, using a DNA sample from Silver the Hedgehog to solidify the base case, Venice the Hedgehog—or Venice the Prototype—is an unstable character who craves chaos and destruction; but more than anything else, Venice is hellbent on destroying Silver—in the worst possible ways—viewing him as his one and only true enemy. His lust for destruction and his crazed attitude about chaos can be compared to Fleetway, and unlike his counterpart, Venice uses his skills as a time traveller to mess up the future instead of saving it.

During the procedure of his creation, an accident occurred and the results were dramatic and horrifying. Instead of creating the perfect soldier that would carry out his commands without question, Nega made way to the birth of a violent, sporadic and unpredictable character that he had no sense of control over. Worth noting is the fact that Venice was created after Metal Silver was.

The colours of his eyes are cyan like Silver's powers, glowing and pulsating especially when crazed, but the signature colour of his Psychokinesis is red and not teal, and his mane gold instead of white. His hands are covered in black gloves with golden buckles attached them, mirroring the design of his boots.

Oracle of Delphi: most often she is referenced to as Delphi or simply The Pythia.

Amanda Gwydion: also known simply as Amanda the Cat, and the #1 Crusher on Silver the Hedgehog.

Itzel Hallvrðr: known simply as Itzel the Leucitic Red Bat, and the older twin sister to Pascal.

Pascal Hallvrðr: by the rest of the world known as Pascal the Bachidna, and he is the younger twin brother to Itzel.

Prince Fannar Frost: a prince from the Sol Dimension, Fannar the Cat was the next in line to the throne of Antarctic before declining his post to seek out the truth about the Phoenix God, Solaris. He is the polar opposite of Princess Blaze in every way, even to the point of having Cryokinesis against her Pyrokinesis.

Samantha Prower: a young genius at the mere age of thirteen, this twin-tailed fox bears a great legacy of engineering wonders, though she far prefers to be called by her nickname "Sam". She's previously been called "Tails" by numerous people but refuses to acknowledge by that name due to her ancestor's, Miles Prower's, similar nickname.

Bébinn Aífe Ó Riain: a.k.a. Aífe the Leucitic Mink or Bébinn the Leucitic Mink, the mother of Silver the Hedgehog.

Pirate King Fintan: a.k.a. Fintan the Hawk, and father of Blaze and Jet.

Queen Alizeh Naaji: a.k.a. Alizeh the Cat, and mother of Blaze and Jet.

Hope Maria Renatus: GUN Agent, reincarnated version of Maria Robotnik, born two-hundred-and-eighty-seven years after her predecessor's death. Human.

Molly Juliette Tower: Granddaughter of Abraham Tower, and goddaughter of Shadow the Hedgehog.

Olivier Maximus "Max" Delacroix: Human Mechanic of the future.

Venice the Mink was one of the many concept designs for Silver the Hedgehog and the one who looked most like the final character; as such, they belong to SEGA. I have merely applied a backstory and personality to this scarred individual.

Hope Maria Renatus is the reincarnation of Maria Robotnik from three hundred years prior. The base case of her character, Maria Robotnik, is copyright of SEGA.

Molly Juliette Tower is not technically an OC either, per say, as playing through the Expert Mode of Shadow the Hedgehog (game) you obtain the information that the Commander recently gained a granddaughter. Using this bit of information, I created Molly and the fact that she is the granddaughter of the G.U.N. Commander is a concept that belongs to SEGA and Sonic Team, not me. I've merely established the kind of character she is and grows to be.

FAVOURITE COUPLES
Shadow x Tikal : {Shadikal} : (OTP: Immortal Bond) — This couple started out as a mere curiosity. Considering I shipped Shadow with almost none back in the days… that is to say, I held an indifferent opinion about the pairings concerning him. But… it also hit me that Shadow would most likely pick a partner who's either Maria's opposite or very similar to her.

I can't really remember how I came to like the pairing, but there was this one fic titled Motherhood on DeviantArt, and Fatherhood, that I really liked. And then I just… out of curiosity, searched on Tikal and Shadow, and the more I thought about these two in a relationship, the more I liked it. Because it made sense; one of my key problems with Shadow couples has always been Shadow's immortality, the prospect that he will outlive his friends and family eventually, and with Tikal, for one thing, this problem evaporates as she, too, is immortal. But her personality is the most fitting and reminiscent to Maria's without it overstepping certain bounds. She's kind, persistent, stubborn, a pacifist but loyal and willing to do what needs to be done for the greater good. But she's also very inclusive and understanding, valuing life above everything else… much similar to Shadow himself, who, while on many points has his clashing with Tikal considering his straightforward and blunt approaches, still shares her moral compass.

And then I heard of Tribal Dance by MaverickKayPrime and I read it… I fell in love on the spot. If you're interested in how I came to love the pairing, go read his fic, it's glorious and worth a read even if you aren't interested in Shadikal.

Scourge x Sonic : {Sonourge} : (OTP: Speed Demons) — This is strictly an experimental analysis of a possible relationship between Scourge from the Archie Comics and Sonic from the regular game franchise. Hence, in more explicit terms, the couple is actually SEGA!Sonic x Scourge as I don't believe Archie!Sonic and Scourge could salvage enough to form something even remotely healthy due to their heavy scuffles in the past. If you wish to know more, I suggest you check out my collaboration fic with Shadowtigs titled Twin Stars (yet to be posted) as she and I eventually dwell into this relationship.

Silver x Sonic : {Sonilver} : (OTP: All That Matters) —

Elise x Hope : {Elisope / Marielise} : (OTP: Star-Crossed Lovers) — An exploratory relationship between Princess Elise III from Sonic '06 and my reincarnated version of Maria Robotnik. Exclusively meeting in my reimagined STH2006 revamp fic, Last One Standing. I… don't really know how to explain their relationship or why I find it precious without spoiling the story. Just trust me; this is one of the cutest couples I've ever come across and it wasn't even my intention to make them love each other. I call them "Star-Crossed Lovers" because it's a pairing doomed for tragedy: living in two different times tend to brittle a relationship, not to mention Hope isn't a time-traveller by choice nor one of convenience. It's one of the other reasons for why I like them, for, despite the fact that it will not work in the long run, it then becomes a matter of making the most of the time they have and it is beautiful.

Knuckles x Rouge : {Knouge} : (OTP: Treasure Hunters) — A childhood sweetheart of mine, it's never really been in my interest to separate or put these two together with anyone else than each other. I grew up with Sonic X as the only Sonic-related material at my disposal, and rewatching the show later on in life is what brought me into the Sonic fandom to begin with. There is a certain nostalgic feeling when I see these two together, and they've always been in my top five; nothing is going to change that and on another note, I don't think I'll need an elaborate presentation for why else I love them :)

Amy x Shadow : {Shadamy} : (OTP: Black Petals) — There is something precious and complementary between Shadow and Amy, and I suppose it all stems from the SA2 game where Amy manages to remind Shadow of his true purpose and his potential to be good. Looking at the individual characters, there is the crucial fact that Amy's no-nonsense attitude and hot temper means that she might be one of the few characters who are actually able to keep up with Shadow without being overly intimidated by him, even though Shadow physically overpowers her by a great margin. She is not afraid of Shadow and knows that, at heart, he's a good person, believing in him with all of her own heart as one of the few who does. And I think Shadow needs that, that unbendable confidence in him that he doesn't possess himself, someone who knows him better than he does himself. Amy and Shadow are two very strong characters whom I think would balance each other out in a way that I can't explain.

Jet x Sonic : {SonJet / Jetonic} : (OTP: Rogue Rider) —

Shadow x Sonic : {Sonadow} : (OTP: Faker) —

Scourge x Zonic : {Zonourge} : (OTP: Flipside Coin) — I blame Kikki on Inkbunny for this one. I mean, it's just… TOO CUTE! 'Nough said!

Khan x Sally : {Khally} : (OTP: Kingdom Come) — The way that they introduced Ken in the Archie comics was phenomenal, and the character development that especially Ian Flynn provided had a certain tune that sat very well with Ken's character arc and his complementary traits with Sally. Their relationship is one of trust and hardship, one that has been developed with careful consideration over time… but most prominently is their friendship and mutual understanding on certain topics. This sort of foundation between two characters is crucial if a long-term romantic relationship is going to work, and for Ken, Sally's happiness comes first, and he's got all the time in the world and would never dare to rush Sally or force his own affection onto her; the fact that she can talk to him about her feelings for Sonic without fear shows exactly the level of trust they have for each other, despite their mutual feelings. Ken is not the jealous type and values Sally's own choices and happiness more than he does his own, which, I think is very important for any relationship. Given Ken's elevated status as royalty, a responsibility he has embraced and is fully committed to, this also puts them both at a certain advantage as they're able to meet each other eye-to-eye without discord.

Overall, I think Khally was one of the more beautiful relationships in the comics that never managed to see another ray of sunshine after Penders copyright on many of the characters.

Fiona x Nicole : {Ficole} : (Damaged Circuit-board) — This couple functions strictly within a universe where Nicole was an actual living creature before she became the most advanced AI on the planet. Meaning the official and unused background story for Nicole in SatAM that would have been revealed in the third season of the show would need to be applied before this pairing would have any merits. (I use it in my background fic series T4, an acronym for Tiny Tales Through Time.) With that out of the way, I can go to explaining why I think they fit well together.

Fiona seems to want someone who finds life as tough as she does. Who can be bitter and who can't always find the silver lining. Because she feels she was wronged and she wants that to be recognised. Fiona thinks she really needs people like Scourge, like Nicole, who have suffered, in order to truly relate to them. Despite valuing neither ideals nor any particular loyalties, Fiona still tries to fit in and is the kind of person who has kicked herself out of her own inner circle. This is a girl with strong interpersonal loyalties. She latches onto people—Scourge, Nic, the Hooligans, and arguably Sonic and the Freedom Fighters. Betrayal shatters her. She defines herself (this is not a healthy woman) not on what the world thinks of her, but what these specific individuals think of her.

And then we're back to wanting recognition. A girl who cries out for help, covered in layers of insecurities; the way she acts—the irresponsible, selfish, unhealthy douchebaggery she uses to cover up all of her internal anxieties, loves, and wounds. We've seen and heard the trauma she went through growing up, and she latches onto people who understand her on a much deeper level than sympathy and even empathy can reach.

Fiona resents that the auto Fiona basically took her place in life… but meeting Nicole, she would see how much worse it could be… and I think that would soften the wounds that she felt. Fiona would try, desperately, to be able to let Nicole past her defences, letting her in and slowly, ever so cautiously, heal the wounds she suffered over the years.

Regarding Nicole, considering that this version of her is highly experimental and without a solid foundation for her character beyond the notes shared by the head writer of Ben Hurst, it's hard to say why I think these two would fit together.

Blaze x Silver : {Silvaze} : (OTP: At Any Price) — I used to be a very hardcore Silvaze fan back when I joined the Sonic community in 2013; I literally did nothing else but support and write about the couple. As of currently, I have some nostalgic liking to the couple that has been hard to get rid of, and it is with good reason that I take my distance from romance, especially that of Silvaze romance.

In any case, I liked Silvaze due to Sonic 06, like a lot of other fans. The friendship between Silver and Blaze is priceless, and one of the core things I believe is crucial for either to have a relationship with anybody.

Lien-Da x Shadow : {Liendow) : (OTP: Dominatrix) — I had a dream that Lien-Da was Silver's mother… or something. I can't remember much of it besides the concept itself. And seeing as I'm Dadow & Sonver trash, naturally, I started to explore the relationship between Lien-Da and Shadow. And I… just kind of like it? Eh… yeah, it's difficult to explain this one here, but, needless to say, it's a definite crack-ship.

COUPLES I LIKE
Amy x Sonic : {Sonamy} : (Head Over Heels) — This pairing snuck up on me from seemingly out of nowhere. I always felt an indifference towards Sonamy when I first joined the Sonic community. Having read and reread the Archie Sonic comics, as well as the IDW Sonic series, has also elevated my opinion on Amy alone as well as her genuine feelings for Sonic. Out of all the characters, Amy is one of the few people to accept, and consequently love, Sonic for who he is, never wanting him to change, which I think is exactly what Sonic would seek in a romantic partner. Sonic won't change, he doesn't want to change—and it's one of the core reasons for why I'm against Sonally—and as such, needs somebody who can embrace him for whom he is. Amy, more than anybody else, shows this commitment, sometimes a little too much, in fact. But regardless, her feelings are genuine and on some level, I think Sonic's feelings for her would be/is as well.

Silver x Tikal : {Silvikal} : (Glass Menagerie) —

Sonic x Tikal : {Sonikal} : (Ghosts of the Future) — Yeah, I went there. Considering that it was Evan Stanley's fan comic, Ghost of the Future, that made ship these two in the first place, I find it only befitting that this couple is named after her story. I can't explain it, but Tikal is a character you can ship almost anyone with provided it has the correct foundations. And Sonic himself is very versatile considering he is a matter of interpretation, but for the most part, his outlook on life and characters in the franchise puts him in a position where he can get along with anyone. But Sonikal… given the correct situation, these two would get along famously both as friends and romantic partners as Tikal balances Sonic's impulsivity while also complementing his easy-going and kind personality with her own kindness, and on top of it, she also respects Sonic's need for freedom and is the type of person who would not want to keep him bound.

Amy x Silver : {Silvamy} : (True Absolution) —

Elise x Sonic : {Sonelise} : (Flame of Hope) — If people can ship Shadria then I can ship SonElise. I think some part of me is shipping them on principle, however. One of the core arguments I encounter against the couple is the difference in species: she's a human, he's a hedgehog, which, fair, I can understand that. However! Why is nobody then putting out all the warning signs on Shadria? Hence, the argument is void.

But regardless, it's one of the few canon couples in the entire Sonic gaming franchise, and it's so far the only one where Sonic is shown to have a reciprocated interest in a love interest. And it's actually done alright. Elise is the type of person with a heavy burden placed upon her shoulders, shouldering that responsibility well and very maturely. But she's a bird in a gilded cage, she longs for freedom, to be a normal girl. Sonic is able to bring out a bravery in her she never knew she had, and at the end of Sonic's story, she's not afraid to stand up for what she believes in.

Sonic himself is a little trickier. But he seems a bit on the flustered side whenever she comments on him, thanking him. And at the end of the day, everything that Sonic aims for is to get her to smile. I think that's sweet and I think that, on some level, he has a small crush her. And like with Amy, Elise gives off the vibe that she would never in her wildest dreams want Sonic to change who he is.

Maria x Shadow : {Shadria} : (Promises Are Forever) — A personal preference, but I strictly prefer them as friends. I'm very strict when it comes to canon lore, especially that which has been explicitly stated within the games and in the gaming manuals. It's an official factor that Maria and Shadow viewed each other as siblings, as stated in the original SA2 game manual for the DreamCast; further proof of this came when Professor Gerald outright called Shadow his son during the ShTH video game, implying that Shadow, Gerald and Maria considered each other family.

However, most of my disapproval of Shadria steams from the hypocrisy that the fans display towards the pairing. I have no quarrels about the pairing prior to Maria's death, nor to bring her back from the dead as a reincarnation. However, I do not approve of reviving her solely for the purpose to set her up with Shadow. It breaks her character as much as it breaks Shadow's, and believing that Shadow would benefit from her revival is naïve and just plain wishful thinking. Put yourself in these shoes: if someone you loved had been brutally murdered in front of your eyes, and you've reached a point that you've accepted their death and moved on, and then one day they turn up, alive and well… would you then feel completely fine in your head? Would Shadow? Most probably, he'd either believe it to be some trick or question his own sanity, trying to sort facts from fantasy and not succumb to grief a second time. He would NOT consider this reincarnation of Maria to be Maria, and most likely he would treat her with extreme hostility due to his own grief clogging his mind. Furthermore, turning her into an anthropomorphic being to disperse people's discomfort of her status as a human is merely adding salt to injury: if you can't accept a pairing to its fullest, you shouldn't support it at all.

Knuckles x Julie-Su : {Knuxsu} — Soul-touch? What is that? (My opinion of Penders shenanigans summed up in four words.) If you're going to include soulmate tropes, and we're speaking in general terms here, make it so that it's not an all-or-nothing situation. Throughout the comics, we see this underlying character in Julie-Su, untapped and just lying dormant, but overall she is just "Knuckles' girlfriend" with no real role other than to fill out the shoes as a means to an end. Penders created Julie solely for the purpose to create his Knuckles fan child Mary-Sue (oh, oopsie, I meant, Lara-Su), which doesn't make the situation with this pairing better, at all. The fact that the soulmate trope is handled as you would in a poor fan fiction makes it feel as if Knuxsu was purely there to satisfy someone's fetish, which, in hindsight, it really was.

Sally x Sonic : {Sonally} — I always felt Sonally was kind of cringe-worthy and way too perfect, but it was bearable and didn't feel too serious. I loathed every Mobius X Years Later arc with a passion as it displayed the core problems of their relationship. Crowning Sonic as King was an act of ignorance and negligence on the developers' part as it utterly destroys Sonic's character and everything he stands for: freedom, adventure, kindness, unpredictability. In short, he's a good man; and it's hard for a good man to be a good king. It does not help, at all, that the Archie comics portrayal of a monarchy was outdated as f*ck (I'd know, considering I live under a constitutional monarchy). But it was tolerable, especially when later it merely became a spin-off of the original, main timeline, labelled as a different reality altogether.

But what really took the cake in terms of my dislike for Sonally was issue #134 and Sally's public display of violence as she downright slaps Sonic for choosing his freedom over a life with eternal restrictions, being an incredible hypocrite by calling him selfish while it was clear that Sally never showed an ounce of sympathy or understanding for Sonic. Her ultimatum in the very same page can virtually be translated as this: "What's more important? Your life or being with me?" A partner who forces you to make a choice is not a partner worth fighting for. Furthermore, violence is violence regardless of the gender committing the act (in fact, gender doesn't excuse any of one's behaviour and is not even a factor when describing an abusive relationship). Allowing for any circumstances in which slapping or other types of physical violence is "okay" is a serious problem that threatens your own emotional stability, as well as the stability of your romantic relationship. Should you ever find yourself slapping or getting slapped by a partner — even just once — your relationship is in major trouble, and possibly beyond repair as engaging in any violence at all often begets further violence. If you tell yourself that there are some situations in which it would be understandable — though not ideal or right — to slap your partner, what you're doing is giving yourself the option in the future to hit your own partner if sufficiently provoked. If you tell yourself it's never okay to slap or hit your lover, you will hold yourself more accountable, not make excuses for yourself, and force yourself to manage your angry feelings when they overwhelm you. Sally chose the former, and by default, I will never support Sonally due to its arguable toxicity.

Chaos x Tikal : {Tikaos} — In short terms, this is just weird. Nothing wrong with those supporting the relationship, but I can't help but feel that Chaos and Tikal are merely spiritually bound to each other and share an unbreakable friendship. I think it would be sad to transcend those emotions and romanticize them.

Knuckles x Tikal : {Knuxikal} — Tikal is immortal, which alone poses a problem for all pairings you put her with (save two). I suppose it doesn't make matters better that Knuckles probably views her as his many-times-over cousin. Knuckles and Tikal are both beings out of time, which is a common ground which begets understanding and closure, but there is no need to romanticize those feelings. That, and I suppose given that I only support Knuckles with Rouge doesn't help matters either XD
