Hello everyone, E721 here and I currently come to this site as a slight testament to my theory. Can people create a good story from an already existing source? I say yes you can and its mostly because in a story every decision, every action has a consequence, which can affect the plot in so many ways. Like in the Matrix with the hallway full of doors. However that said it can also happen on two end's of the spectrum's. First end is the usual what if spectrum or rather 'The want of a Nail' Spectrum. This spectrum is changing one key event in a story and watch the ripples drastically change the story as we know it, this is pretty much the butterfly effect. The other end of the spectrum is 'In spite of the nail' which mean there's a change but it doesn't really changes much about how the story progress's (Case in point is a fanfic in which a shoen protagonist ends up with a totally different powers and yet the events that happen in the original story still happens no matter what, just slight small changes)

Now, that said, I come here to see what wonderful imaginations writers can cook up, though the biggest is probably Naruto due to the fact that so many things could've happened that may or may not changed so many things. Like, what if the Uchiha clan never tried to attempt a Coup de ta and were never massacred by the time Naruto becomes a Genin? What affect would that have on the story? What if the whole shinobi world manage to discover that Naruto is actually the son of the infamous Yellow Flash before he's even a Genin? What would happen if Iruka actually didn't see Naruto as Naruto and instead as the Nine Tails and he along with Mizuki tried to kill Naruto and that happen to be the trigger to set Naruto down the path that Gaara himself was on at the beginning (In other words, a psychopath). What if Naruto wasn't on Team 7, what if he was on Team 10, or Team 8, or maybe 9, how much does the plot change? Its all so interesting to see what one seemly small decision can actually affect the entire story in the user's imagination, and its not only Naruto that this can be done to, every conceived anime, movie, book, and comic has options.

Now with all that spiel out of the way, i do have to warn that, i am very and i do mean VERY, flexible with my ships and shipping, which should be no surprise considering if you read the paragraph above. To be honest i don't really take it serious, and as long as they can SOMEHOW make it work that's all I need. It just needs a stable base to spring from, it can't just be guy suddenly dump girl that a show or comic was shipping the main character with and he suddenly has an interest in another girl, no just no. It has to at least make sense and more importantly have development.

So those are the reasons I'm here, and I hope and pray that out of every hundreds stories that are shit/crap/dumpheap/ there's at least 30 that are gems that make it worthwhile (Look up Sturgeon's Law)
