I've been reading fanfiction for a while, but some great stories by different authors inspired me to write my own. Fanfiction very kindly takes all types so what better place to torture, I mean, provide some enjoyment for others. Right? And learn at the same time.

I'm a major fan of hiccstrid, especially from the second movie. I loved how they knew each other so well, and how Astrid had matured into a much more gentler person, but still with her signature fire and determination. Hiccup was no longer a weakling, and was very capable and willing to throw himself completely into protecting the dragons and the people of Berk. This is the hiccstrid I like to write about.

I also love the friendship between Hiccup and Toothless. They are literally brothers from another mother (species). Even though I don't feel confident writing Viking stories, I really enjoy modern AU's, so if you came here looking for dragons, you will be disappointed. Just letting you know now. After saying that, I do have plotlines drawn up for Vikings in Berk stories, complete with dragons, but I don't know how long it will be before they see the light of day.

I'm half way through several stories with more story ideas hiding in the wings. I'd love to see them all written, but it all takes time, which is ultra precious. So you'll have to forgive me if I disappear every now and again from fanfiction to return to real life to take care of business. Writers block and chronic exhaustion also play their part, even if my brain refuses to stop shunting ideas around. Instead of fixing one story…I seem to come up with a totally new one! Go figure….

A massive thank you needs to go to those who have kindly supported me with their reviews. I read them all and do my best to respond to them all. I take note of what you say, and it does have an influence on what I write. So never underestimate the power of the review….

Update: Feb 2017 Wanderer of Berk has been removed for now. It was going places I didn't want it to go and I preferred to have it gone than stay as it was.

Due to a few of life's hurdles, my story writing has hit a brick wall. If I can I'll be back, but no promises when. Thanks for everyone who took the time to read my stories. I appreciated all your kind comments and reviews. I learned so much from you all.

Remember: giving a smile never hurt anyone, but it can mean the world to those who receive it. Stay humble, stay kind. Learn patience and forgiveness and you and those around you will benefit greatly.
