REWORKING THE REVERSED COLLECTION!

My thoughts on Pokemon... In other words, I suppose you would call this head-canon.

Games:
Red - ah the classics, gotta love 'em terrible graphics and all
Gold - don't remember much other i thought the cartridge was shiny
Silver - gen 2 classic and my personal old time fave, shame i don't have a copy any more
Crystal - intro made me think of a horror flick, well as horror as pokemon goes
Ruby - groudon = pain in the ass
Sapphire - maxie is always an ass, even he's the good guy
FireRed - i fell in the love with my mini DS for it's gba slot
Gen 4 - instead of listing individual games, let's say i've played all them which i have
Gen 5 - again own and played both versions and their respective sequels, Black2 is epic

Characters:
Kotone/Lyra - I like her, the design is much better in my opinion than Kris's
Silver/Rival - everyone needs an asshole
Blue Oak/Green O. - forgot how to spell the Japanese last name, but this is our smartass
Red - amuses me for the sole reason I can create sheer chaos with him, no real other purpose for me though
N Harmonia - fuck Natural H. Gropius, if that's even how his name is spelled, I see regal and detached, slightly naive
Toko/Hilda - while I'm a bit leery about the design, it's simple enough that I actually have quite a bit of freedom
Toya/Hilbert - I only have an issue with his hair, though he is similar to Toko in regards to usability
Ethan/Gold/Hibiki - I prefer calling him Ethan, the design is a bit more believable in Gen 4, only Blue had a real reason to be over-prideful
Kris/Crystal - I call her Kris, though I was never really fond of Crystal version and the design is a bit outlandish, even for Pokemon
Cheren - completely adorable, though I don't really pair him with anyone, much less Bianca save every now and then
Bianca - umm? no comment, though an excellent cause of mayhem as a side character
Brendan - easily used with an epic hat
May - I think the anime ruined this one
Mei/Rosa - she's so adorable, but that only slightly hinders her usability
Nate/Kyohei - um, I want whatever the people who drew him were on, make mine a double
Hugh - his hair reminds me of Sasuke from Naruto... enough said with that statement alone
These are the characters I keep up with currently, player characters and rivals anyway below are a few gym leaders and a champion or so

Steven Stone - I just love his design, in terms of usability the games don't give him too much personality, so he's a fairly simple character to use
Falkner/Hayato - with his choice in wardrobe I always end up calling him Hayato, as said with the clothes I also see him as fairly traditional person as well as which city he lives in
Morty/Matsuba - I am fairly fond of the redesign, it adds that ghostly/mysterious element, though with a gym title like his he is definitely a clairvoyant
This is how I will portray these particular characters in most stories I write

For reference because somethings might get a confusing - Regions:
Kanto - Japanese traditions and so forth
Johto - same as Kanto, reason being that two regions are connected
Hoenn - despite the fact that Steven is very American in my stories, this strikes me as Australian
Sinnoh - when I actually look at it, I'm leaning more towards China
Unova - American culture, I'm fairly sure I read something that said the cities were designed on actual US cities
Kalos - France, duh

I know where the regions are actually inspired from and based on, as well as the fact that some lean more towards their realistic regional counterparts in Japan. However, I'm fairly open-minded and when you simply look at a picture of a landmass sometimes you don't see what someone may have wanted you to see. Hoenn is a great example. I showed a drawing of the Hoenn region to my mom, who has only seen the first season on the TV show and knows nothing of the games except for my screaming while battling. I asked what she saw in the landmass drawing and was surprised to learn that despite all of my research, she didn't see Japan or any Asian country. My mom said Australia and that her second thought was actually leaning towards an American or European owned island or something similar. So I raise my glass to freedom of opinion.

All right! I'm reworking and editing and waiting for people to win my challenges so I can write some awesome fics. I rewrote 'Take A Chance' for those that care or want to read the new version. I'm editing both 'Ending the Cycle' and 'The Reversed Collection'. I've also started on some other fic ideas, I'll put a poll up so you pick which one you want first. Note: You guys will vote for one and I'll just pick one. I've decided that I can't juggle more than two multi-chaptered stories at a time. There will also be a poll on which fandom I should crash next. My next goal will be to hunt down some words so I can try my hand at a Sentence Challenge.
