It's been 7 years since I hit a massive writer's block. It's like I turned 20 (well, I was almost 20) and all my creativity just evaporated. And to everyone who read my stuff and enjoyed it, I sincerely apologize for that.

Even though I haven't written anything myself these last few years, I've been reading. And there are a lot of great authors out there and a lot of great stories. I have a lot of respect for everyone who continue to make this site such a wonderful place for writers and readers from all over the world.

Things Worth Fighting For

A Lord of the Rings story.

I started writing it when I was 16. English is not my first language (as if my pen name didn't give that away) and as the years went by I became increasingly annoyed at how bad the first ten or so chapters really were. And it was not just the language. As I grew older I realized how young and probably naive I'd been and that showed in my writing. After updating less and less regularly it finally just stopped. It wasn't a conscious decision. I actually wanted to finish it, but I couldn't. I didn't want to disappoint everybody who reviewed and seemed to enjoy the story, but if you, as an author, isn't satisfied with your work, then there really isn't much of a point.

However, I am currently rewriting the whole thing, renaming it Something Worth Fighting For, but I must admit it's a slow process. The general idea is the same, but that's about it. Hopefully it's more mature. And I want to more or less finish it before I post it, because I don't want to make the same mistake twice and end up with two unfinished stories. At some point I will also look into getting a beta, which will probably motivate me to actually finish this project. I hope.
