Author has written 4 stories for Gilmore Girls, and Harry Potter. Your supportive words and encouragement make it all worth it. Thank you. Me If you review my story then chances are I’ve looked at your profile. I always find it interesting to know more about the people who read and review or favorite my work. It occurred to me that there might be people who are similarly interested in me.I’ll keep it simple. I’m in my twenties and in the later years of my very extended college education. I live in the south and love college football, as well as pop culture and literature. Fanfiction If you’re curious about my penname then I’m sorry I can’t offer a more interesting explanation. It was created when I was 12 and had just read Gone with the Wind for the first time. At the time having green eyes just like Scarlet O’Hara was my favorite feature. Like most people I stumbled upon an archive accidentally and was fascinated by the free stories that waited at the tips of my fingers. Behind-the-Scenes Previously all of the behind-the-scenes had been posted on my profile, but it was taking up so much space. I moved each section to end of the chapter that accompanied it. Only the current Behind-the-Scenes will now be posted here. Chapter 20 UPDATE (SPOILERS) [CANNON] JK Rowling has said that there is a graduation of sorts at Hogwarts where the seventh years ride the boats back across the lake. I absolutely cannot take credit for this beautiful and symbolic idea. However I can’t say I’ve ever read it used in another fanfiction though I’m sure it has been. I really thought it was important to show that not only were the Muggleborn Massacres senseless and wrong, Death Eaters weren't even actually accomplishing what they set out to do. They wanted to kill muggleborns having relationships with purebloods. But Camille wasn't really in a relationship with Ashby. And Porter Knight wasn't actually a Pureblood, and neither was Remus (being secretly a Werewolf). In Chapter 15: Friendly Fire, at the beginning after the prefect meeting and when Lily admits her love for James to Callum, they leave her suite and his stomach growls. Lily begins to tell him about the secret passage. James, however, interrupts this exchange with his presence and therefore Lily never shares the passage. The passage, of course, is Lily’s escape route after learning of Callum’s betrayal and James’ interruption is just another small way that James saved her life that she’ll never even remember. The first line of Chapter Twenty: Lovely-It felt very strange that seventh year was over.” Is a repetition of first line of Chapter Two: Rainy Days and Quidditch Plays- It felt very strange that sixth year was over” when Lily was in the Great Hall. [ERRORS] My two main continuity errors were that Piper changes from a sixth year in the beginning of the story to a seventh year later, and the number of sisters that Callum has changes between four and five throughout (in my character notes he has four sisters: Francis [who dies, Maxine, Regina, and Coleen). I only realized these errors later in the stories posting and plan on fixing them soon. In Chapter 13: A Rising Heart and a Broken Sun, Snape tells Lily she “doesn’t know how much he’s done to protect her.” This alludes to his cursing Callum not because of catching her topless like she suspected, but instead because Snape knows of Callum’s involvement and orders from the Death Eaters. 0000000 INFO ON THE FOLLOW UP STORY: THERE ARE MAJOR SPOILERS FOR LOVE AND OTHER TRAGEDIES IN THIS FOLLOWING INFORMATION (not anything beyond Chapter 18 though) I’ve been working on the follow up story to LAOT for awhile, but I’ve reworked it about a million times and I wasn’t sure anyone would even be interested. Having finally settled on a plot and characters, it’s no longer in my hands. I love this story too much not to post. So here’s some info to get you excited, because I think the readers of LAOT and lovers of next generation stories will really enjoy it: Memoirs of a Bad Girl A collision of the past and present in a fight for the future. 17 year old Lily Potter wakes up with no memory of where she’s been for the past six months. What she does know is that she is being haunted by the past…literally, and she’s the only one who can see those who died to give her the life she has always taken for granted. With a Malfoy for a bodyguard and a forbidden crush acting as her tutor, she must do more than uncover the truth about the past. She must become the girl worth their sacrifice and more than just a bad girl. Lily Evans, Baker (Harland) Simmons, James Potter, Sirius Black, Fred Weasley, Cedric Diggory, and all those loved ones lost must help her unravel a mystery that dips into a time before her father was the boy-who-lived and spreads across two wars that will put the fate of Hogwarts into the hands of a very bad girl. Pairings: Cannon, Lily/Sorpius, Lily/Teddy Cannon compliant, but with the explanations of the Marauders given in Love and Other Tragedies applied. All characters, references, plot points, will be reintroduced so it is not technically necessary to have read LAOT. |
