Although I think it was in Lucifer's true nature to rush after Pierce at the end of the episode. I would have really liked to see what would have happened if he had stayed with Chloe. This story works on Lucifer's more human side, dabbling in some cute and sweet moments of support and friendship that the partners share.(Edited and a little more sparkly)

Totally shameless one shot to allow Deckerstar to kiss. But also an exploration of why Lucifer needs Chloe yet struggles to accept it.

Lots of fluff and a fair amount of smut coming up, because I think we all need a break from sadness.

"Un-uh... Everybody else is too busy. Please, Lucifer?" That did it! Lucifer groaned and face palmed, trying with all his might to fight against the answer that wanted to slip out, but it did anyway. "Alright... alright, spawn. I'll bring you to the rides tomorrow."

There is this saying "Till the death do us part" and Chloe knew from the beginning, that she had just one life and needed to make the best out of it. And with the devil as your friend, death didn't seem so final anymore. But, was it really a blessing to get a second chance or did this only create more chaos in her life?

The dreariness of the day had been a perfect match to his mood, mirroring the abstract ruminating in his mind. Grey, formless, unspecified thoughts and concerns, what-ifs that had churned within him like the clouds that had swirled over the City of Angels. Feelings, Dr. Martin would call them. He had rejected the very notion. The devil did not do feelings.

Chloe stared at the card in her hands, suddenly feeling very old. Had it really been fifteen years since high school had let out for the last time?

Title says it all. With nowhere else to turn to, Lucifer always finds his way back to the detective's doorstep. COMPLETE!
