![]() Author has written 2 stories for Death Note, and Bleach. Hello, thank you for taking the time to look at my stories! I do not intend to say much (about myself) as I prefer to express myself in the stories I write; Creations reflect the character of their Creator! I have an open mind about most things, but the problem with that is that "sooner or later someone will come along and try to put something in it"- quote Terry Pratchett- one of my favourite authors (: I'll hear out what almost anyone has to say though, because I tend to try and avoid prejudices-unless it's someone telling me to do the dishes or calculate the trajectory of an object accelerating at the speed of x. But here's the Challenge...(now take the challenge, if you'd like..or dare...er-hem) If you want me to listen though, you had best be either making amazing, wonderful humour, sense and/or interest- preferably both. If you can manage it. Hobbies: Reading, writing, drawing, dreaming (not the same as sleeping, though I approve of that too), exploring, learning (different from studying!) Favourite color: Many, but I tend to go for bright/dark greens or blues, depending on my mood. Right now it's probably turquoise or emerald green. Or teal. Philosophy: If you can't beat them, bait them. What you can't separate from, get others to join in. You might conform, but don't constrict yourself. It's not the same. My favourite shows...gosh, there are so many! Where do I start from? Let's try starting with categories...Note*Those listed are not entirely comprehensive, they're just the few I can remember in particular off the top of my head: Cartoons: A:TLA (ALL TIME FAVOURITE SERIES, WITHOUT A DOUBT...though I'll allow a few questions. It seriously is one of the best animated series ever, and if you haven't heard of or seen it, YOU MUST. You have no idea what you're missing!) Oh, and the sequel LOK is not as much of a must-watch if you're new to everything, but you'll definitely love it all by the time you get there. Don't worry, you'll have time to catch up, Bryke's taking FOREVER to flesh up four seasons' worth of epic plot material, just so you know...) -Adventure Time! (with Jake the Dog & Finn the Homosapien *Did you know that Finn's original name was supposed to be Penn, but the creators changed it somewhere along the way, from what I heard! I'd love to commit the crime of delicious murder in the Candy Kingdom. Marceline's pretty cool too!) -Regular Show (because who doesn't like anthropomorphized racoons and...blue birds (not sure on Mordecai's species, go ask an ornithologist) being best buds and having tons of crazy whacky and generally self-imposed, dangerous fun? Plus Pops is hilarious. "Jolly Good Show!" Fun fact: Benson, Pops and Muscleman all share THE.SAME.VOICE-ACTOR. Incredible, huh? I was mind-blown when I found out.) -Samurai Jack. It's got samurais, your point is invalid. Samurais. ACTUAL SAMURAI. -TMNT-Because Talking Turtles? WHO HAPPEN TO BE NINJAS, AND LIVE IN AN UNDERGROUND SEWER WITH A RAT FOR THEIR SENSEI? Instant Dealbreaker. Ninjas, man, you can't argue with Ninjas-they'll cut you up and dispose of you in the drains. But not the newest one currently airing on Nick that's 3D, no, it's the good old 2D version in 2008, or whenever I was 10 and/or impressionable. Favourite fighting amphibian being: hmmm, a tough choice between Donatello and...nahh, who am I kidding, it's Donny all the way! Wish he had a cooler weapon like Michaelangelo's nanchakus though-but I love all the heroes in a hardshell :D -Danny Phantom! (snow white hair, and bright greens eyes- irresistible, and that sarcastic charm? Greatest ghost hero to wit) -Fairly Oddparents- Ohhh man, Butch Hartman is just...so revered by me, after that and then coming up with the above mentioned, I mean all that creative talent in ONE guy...I just, I think I need to go have a bit of a lie down now...) -Kim Possible-Ahh, good old old school, when Feminism was all the...rage? -Teen Titans..because, you know, classic childhood model icons-every kid (and possibly adult) harbours a deeply ingrained, secret desire to be a superhero, or at least have superpowers. Some to this very day, ahem. As for Japanese cartoons, better known as Anime or Manga, my top would have to be these: FMA, (I liked both brotherhood and the original) One Piece (overwhelming number of chapters, I should start following up again on that sometime), Shaman King, DEATH NOTE (I CAN'T CONTAIN HOW SUCH AN AMAZING PSYCHOLOGICAL THRILLER HAS INFLUENCED MY LIFE EXTENSIVELY) , Bleach (A different kind of Death God, particularly better endowed in the body and looks department, uh-huh) Others (that I enjoy/enjoyed): Bakuman, Monster, Sket Dance, Ouran (good fun stuff) Movies: Girl who leapt Through Time, Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle, Paprika, a ton I can't remember...never got Ponyo though, wish I didn't pay to see it... DISNEY & Similar (like Don Bluth)
Ones that I really loved: Hunchback of Notre Dam (The music and song is just heart-rending and uplifting) The Jungle Book (Baloo and Baguiera-the panther, I can never spell his name correctly, pardon my mistake. Didn't really like King Louie though, dumb ape) The Lion King (who doesn't? I really loved Timon & Pumba, very partial to and fond of meerkats nowadays, I've watched entire documentaries on them) The Sword in The Stone The Road to El Dorado (Miguel & Tulio are the best human comic duo ever) Anastatia (pretty sure I had a premature crush on Dmitri) Alice in Wonderland (a little bit of randomness is good for the creative mind, an overload kills the logical brain, but all in all it enhances and enriches the soul! That's my firm take on the matter. Of course, Lewis Carrol and the creators might have all been on crack for all we know, but I doubt it was widely available or popular then. Maybe it was opium. Or just sweet, sweet self-invoked madness. Everyone's strange and off in their own way anyway, with little quirks or large idiosyncrasies- some are simply a little more open about it/theirs, but we're all 'in Sanity' in our attempts to keep our senses, avoiding the frenzies and fray, when everything's been said and done, so I guess we can't judge each other now, can we? Oh, but we do. Oh well. Moving on... Atlantis Aladdin Tarzan (Disney makes living the wild, forest life very appealing somehow-or perhaps it's just me and my instincts...but then I wouldn't have internet access! D: GOR-RILL-LLAAA-LA-LA-LA) Treasure Planet (badassery is guaranteed with a name like 'Hawkins') Pochahontas (THAT FOOLISH NATIVE GIRL SHOULD HAVE REALLY GONE WITH JOHN SMITH THOUGH, I HAD NOTHING AGAINST JOHN RALPH UNTIL SHE CHOSE HIM. YES, I'M STILL VERY MUCH HUNG UP OVER IT 5 YEARS LATER.AND TALKING TREE EVEN ADVISED HER ABOUT IT.) Fox & The Hound (Beagles! And that woodpecker and sparrow pair!) Hercules! (Man, I know you're not typically supposed to support the villain, especially when he's the Greek's interpretation of Satan and all, or whoever, choose what you want to believe, but you gotta admit he made a fine antagonist in that film, one of my all time favourite evil characters after Scar, Sher Khan, Frollo, possibly Ursala, Hook,Rasputin, etc...in short, you can't have a great movie without a great villain. The battle and hero is only as great as his effort it takes to take down the enemy! The more terrible and difficult the bad guy is to defeat, the greater the risk, peril plus sacrifice, and the harder-won the fight, the more wonderful a story is. That's what I honestly think anyway.) Spirit; Stallion of the Cimarrion- That horsy movie that made every kid ask their parent for a pony the very next Christmas, or birthday, or the next time they aced a math test. Hooray for horses! I almost read it as Stallion of the Cinnamon once though. Bambi's got nuthin' on this one...though it deserves its merit. Peter Pan (I loved that croc) |
