Whoa...I felt it was a while ago...oh wait, it was a while, that was back in 08 when I was contemplating adding my HA! fic.

Favorites still not updated, and I've gone through 2 or 3 fandom phases since then, damn.

Why do I write these little updates?
(I actually have a reason. Sometimes I happen across people's profiles, either on ffn or anywhere else, and I see they haven't updated in years...I dunno, it makes me sort of melancholy, and I'm not talking about people that I've talked to or people that I've even messaged just once. It could be a completely stranger, and it generally is...dunno why I feel that way) I could spend a short essay discussing this, but that's better suited for LJ and not a ff profile that I doubt anyone actually reads, or even sees, given that I've only ever posted a mediocre little FF crossover OMG it's been 8 years ago...holy crap, I am old.)

I told you I wasn't a writer.

Gawd, every time I end up reading fanfics again, it becomes inevitable that I look back at my old unfinished fanfics.

I can't believe it's been six years since I posted something here. Feels so long ago...

I'm not a fanfic writer.
I'm not, really.
I'm not even really a writer; I do do some poetry though

As you can see, I really only ever did one fanfic, and that was back in 04/05.
But I figured that I might as well update my profile to be something a bit more...personal I guess.

Well, more personal than a list of interests and hobbies.

So yeah, only ever did one fanfic. Had big plans for additional fics that took place in the same universe. But then, senior year hit, and it hit hard. Way too many AP classes, and frankly, I just didn't have time. Then Dirge of Ceberus came out, and my view of the FF7 (and FF8) universe just seemed way less important. So, the traces of new fics, and new ideas were left to collect dust, shoved in the back of my mind (well, technically, I did write a first chapter for both Ultima Rising and Dark Descent, but whatever).

So what am I doing here, you wonder?
Well, assuming all goes right (but it probably won't), above Lord of Weapon should be a fic called Overcast. Not an FF fic, but a fic for Hey Arnold!

Yeah, big difference, I know. Honestly, I don't read fanfics too often except for those few times when I go really, really crazy over some new anime or something. And it's actually only happened a few times in the last eight years (stumbled across Tenchi Muyo fanfics back in seventh grade). But I got into the Hey Arnold! fandom this past spring, went crazy, then left.

Then I came back. I still had interest.

And with that interest came an idea. Essentially it was just a chance to have a fic where Lila wouldn't be evil, lol, I won't lie, that was the first thought. But Overcast is not a fic about Lila. It's about Arnold and Helga, and if all goes well, it'll be something much deeper than anything I ever anticipated. But whatever, I'm not a writer. And things might not go well, and maybe within a few days when you look, I will still be an author of only a single, mediocre fanfic on ff.net.

But the first chapter of Overcast IS done.
And as with Lord of Weapon, I wish to make some progress before I start posting.
And maybe, after you read this and scroll down, maybe you will see Overcast. And my writing an entirely new profile, which turned out to be more of an LJ post, won't end up in vain.

And btw, if you'll notice, my favorite stories and authors list is small, but not because those are the only ones I ever found worth mentioning. There have been LOTS of favorites over the past...but I just never...added...shrugs...I'm stupid, I know.
