AUTHORESS NEWS
(9/2/11) ...FIRST STORY POSTED! Okay, granted, it's an One-Shot, but whatever. I'm proud of it. And it's Young Justice, just about the greatest cartoon EVER! ~loves on Robin and KF~ Please, if you don't mind, give it a chance and read it? =^.^= It's one of them iPod Challenge thingies.
(9/3/11) Just got a tumblr. It's now my homepage. ...Maybe I should put this somewhere else other than News...

Who is SinisterMastermind?

Just a woman. Girl, really. A writer...kind of. Not really. A bit of a dork. Okay, maybe an uber dork.

Enjoys chocolate and anime and manga and SUPERHEROESSUPERHEROESSUPERHEROES and bread and thunderstorms and booksbooksbooks. Wants to create a world, not unlike that of Harry Potter and Middle Earth, for people to escape to. Especially herself. Dislikes writing poetry, mainly because she cannot write it. LovesLOVESloves Shakespeare, J.K. Rowling, J.R.R. Tolkein, C.S. Lewis, Edgar Allen Poe, Holly Black, Michael Crichton, and Christopher Paolini. She loves God and Jesus is her Saviour. She does not believe any religion is wrong and everyone is free to believe in what they wish. Wants to see the entire world, both the good and bad.

Not putting her appearance on here because, in all honesty, who the hell cares?

Also, no age. She does not wish for her age to affect people's opinion on her writing.

Current Obssession? YOUNG JUSTICE! Just about the greatest cartoon EVER!

Location? Pluto (because she learned it was a planet in elementary school AND SO IT SHALL REMAIN!)

Avatar? Uchiha Itachi from Naruto. Why? ...Why NOT? It's Itachi! ~loves on him~ -S.M. does not claim ownership for the picture-

S.M. also resides:
Her bloggin' spot. Beware: extreme rambling. Also, her homepage. Check it!

Any oneshots will get posted here FIRST. Only a writing spot. With all the plagirazing goin' around, S.M. figured she best have a back-up.

http://fictionpress.com/~sinistermastermind Original works. Will trade reviews for eternal servitude (metaphorically, of course).

(Everything beyond this point is rather useless and just for S.M.'s amusement. You are more than welcome to read, but if you truly do not care, just skip to the bottom)

Thoughts on:

Harry Potter
She loves it. She can go on about it for days and days because it's a rarity to find something so heartwarming, enthralling, and realisitic story in this age. S.M. understands that there are people who do not like it, but never gripe about it to her because she will defend it to the last of her breath and you will lose that argument miserably. This story is not about extraordinary magical feats or flying brooms or spells; it's about growing up. And terrible loss and friendship and endless possibilities. It taught S.M. that there IS evil in the world, but as long as there are those with good in them, it can always be brought to it's knees. Long live Harry Potter.

Anime/Manga
This makes her very happy. She understands people don't like it and does not take offense to teasing. S.M. is particularly fond of it because she loves cartoons and a nice juicy plot. Sadly, american cartoons (though hilarious and fun) don't GENERALLY have both together. But Japanese comics and cartoons? They do. She has met some of her best friends in the entire world through this community and is forever grateful to having found it for that reason. Also, some of the most amazing characters have been introduced through here. Prefers Shonen to Shojo, but is beginning to get a fondness for the latter. Favorites?
Naruto, Bleach, Full Metal Alchemist, Fairy Tail, D. Gray-Man, Kodocha, Fruits Basket, Kaichou wa Maid-sama!, Fooly Cooly (though she's still ridiculously confused as to what it's actually about), Death Note, Inukami, Yotsubato!, Dengeki Daisy, Ghost Hunt (S.M. still has the occasional nightmare because of this series), Inuyasha, Black Cat, Full Metal Panic!, Koukou Debut (High School Debut), Vampire Knight, Ouran High School Host Club, Cage of Eden, Soul Eater, Code Geass.

Yaoi/Yuri (Gay/Lesbian)
Honestly, she has no problem with either one. She reads yaoi, mainly in the Naruto category, regularly, and doesn't mind yuri so long as it's not explicit. She doesn't understand people's vehement hatred towards either-or and doesn't tolerate bashing of these categories. Everyone is entilited to their own opinion, but there are ways to calmly and civilly explain them, rather than screaming "I HATE IT! IT'S AN ABOMINATION" or something of the like. She supports it one-hundred percent. True, she likes yaoi a bit more, but that may have to do with the fact that S.M. is indeed female. It's kinda funny, she thinks, how girls AS A MAJORITY, enjoy yaoi but not yuri and how guys AS A MAJORITY enjoy yuri but not yaoi. Funny, no?

OC's (Orginial Characters)
First, OC stands for ORIGINAL CHARACTER. Many people seem to wrongly interpret 'OC' and it is very irritating to S.M. Just one of her pet-peeves, no harm done. Secondly, she loves them. Most of the things she reads will have an OC in it somewhere, even if you have to lean back, squint both eyes, and tilt your head sideways in order to see them. In fact, nearly everything she writes will have an OC. S.M. likes OC's so much because, to her, they represent the writer's own creative imprint. In other words, it gives the reader a taste of what the author can REALLY write, without the pre-destined plot, characters, and settings already provided. She knows they aren't all that popular on this site, but doesn't really care all that much.

Comics vs. Cartoon Shows
Okay, so S.M. adores superheroes. For cereal. They're her crack, basically. And Young Justice is absolutely one of THE BEST superhero shows out there (Teen Titans, apparently, no longer exists on TV...what. a. fail.). And, honestly, people complaining about the show not sticking to the comics is really beginning to piss her off. Unless specifically stated, the original comics and the cartoons are not linked at all. So of course the cartoon isn't going to follow the comic: that would just be counterproductive.
