"Writing is a struggle against silence." ~Carlos Fuentes Hello there. I am currently writing a Marauder-era fic, and will be posting soon. I'd like to get a better idea of the general direction before I start posting. A bit about me in no particular order: I love lighthouses. I've had an ongoing fixation with them since the sixth grade. Someday, I'm going to be a successful journalist, own a vintage car and a cat named Ambrosia. For now, no such luck. I have a passion for reading and writing. I mostly write short stories and poetry, but I've attempted to write several longer pieces (to no avail... I always quit.) All of my failed writings are kept in an extremely thick manila envelope that is threatening to rip at any moment. I don't write in order; instead, I write scenes throughout the entire span of the story and then fill in the gaps. My favorite books are Harry Potter and Gone with the Wind. I adore anything and everything written by Edgar Allan Poe. He is incredible. I have a newly rediscovered love for all things Sailor Moon. I watched the show when I was a kid and still have a soft spot for it to this day. My favorite TV show is Bones, but really, any crime show will do. I have seen the movie The Princess Bride a grand total of 18 times. It's far from being my favorite movie, but there is something to be said about a movie that you will never get tired of. My favorite movie is actually Ocean's Eleven. I have an irrational fear of frogs. If I could, I would live off of raspberries and tea. I am a die-hard New York Giants fan. I play the piano. It has always been a dream of mine to learn how to play the harp. I love a good quote. In all honesty, most people do. So I leave you with one of my favorites: "A dreamer is one who can only find his way by moonlight, and his punishment is that he sees the dawn before the rest of the world." ~Oscar Wilde. |
