![]() Author has written 4 stories for Naruto, and Bleach. As I've grown over the last 6 years, I've realized something simple about writing: We get older, and as is the case with many people, I've found that you must join the grind and work yourself around events you can't control. However, here's the thing: Once you create a story, or any content for that matter, it is yours (Aside from obvious credit and rights to original content creators). It may take its inspiration from others at times, or be based in the same world as someone else's, but that tale you get to tell...No one else could ever tell it. Of all the ways to tell human beings apart, I believe imagination is truly a one-of-a-kind thing. I want everyone to realize this amazing thing that makes us all special and valuable one day. Revise checklist for Burning Leaves Part One:
The Burning Leaves: Hell's Fury schedule -- Every Friday morning Update: 4/29/2016 Thank you for everyone who has followed and supported my stories thus far! I'm glad I could be consistent enough to get the 5th chapter of Hell's Fury out this morning and gave chapters 5-10 of the Burning Leaves some much needed revision. I hope to continue to drive my stories forward and do so with quality! Update: 4/1/2016 April Fool's! Just kidding...I did, in fact, begin The Burning Leaves: Hell's Fury. I am extremely excited about it, and it will be release very early on Fridays from here on! I have a lot of catching up to do with my revisions for part one, but I believe it won't take too much longer. Also, I've almost gotten to a comfortable place with the ins-and-outs with Bleach, so you are likely going to see all of my stories get updates and touch-ups! Update: 3/9/2016 I'm launching an initiative to completely update everything from profile to true revisions of The Burning Leaves Part 1. This is pretty important to me, as it's something that I personally have wanted to do. To Define a Destiny is going to start entering my spotlight very soon. I will be doing an honest track of what I can comfortably do to maximize quality and quantity of content. When I'm in the zone after thinking about the basic plot lines of a story, I am usually on fire. However, I expect that producing a chapter of around 6,000 words will take me around 12 hours from conception to final revision. I'm not particularly good and trying to rush things, so I want to give realistic schedules that don't put stress on my mentality. I'm confident that the plan I'm using for the revision will not affect the speed of new content, and I can attest to this method. Just in one day, I did a full revise of the first two chapters of Burning Leaves. The efficiency is better; my standard revision time is 1-2 hours before release, but since these are already out there, I was able to knock both out in forty-five minutes. Not too bad...until I find an error and rage ;p Update: 1/22/2016 Just updloaded To Define a Destiny Chapter 3, as well as some revisions...(did I save those?) to the first two chapters. Also, Chapter 22 of the Burning Leaves was released on the 21st. I'm excited to have found one of my only one-shots from 2012. I gave it some touch-ups and posted it. I apologize if any of my content hits on the same cords as others (not sure how many YahikoxKonan fan-fics are out there), but I assure you, I don't generally check to see what's been done already. I like to just let my ideas shoot out onto the page so I don't get the idea that I'm not being original. (Safety bubble?) xD Update: 1/18/2016 I've ripped my chapters of Define a Destiny from here. After thinking about it, I have decided I will attempt to finish this story. The potential is great with the right investment in it, and a smaller length story sounds like a refreshing idea at this point. Updates may be sporadic, but I have officially begun revision and resumed progress on it. Update: 01/17/2016 Yikes, It's been 3.5 years! (no idea how I remembered my password in one shot.) Not that any of my reviewers will see this, but I didn't lie; I will be updating the Burning Leaves to wrap up part 1. I didn't even look to see what chapter is the latest on here, but there are a total of 30 chapters in part one, with part 2 going strong. When it's all said and done, I think I might do a re-mastering of the story. For now, I'll tell it as originally intended (Six-year anniversary of chapter 1's first draft is around February!). Every Thursday, I'll release another chapter. Thanks for everyone that read my story or even gave it a shot. Truly, the story officially deviated from the original after a bit, but it is fun to see different takes on non-canon pairings and what they really could have done with the techniques they already had to work with. I'm not certain if To Define a Destiny is going to be updated. All my original drafts are all but lost on that. In any case, I will continue on, even if not a soul cares about the story. Reality is, I can't spend my time writing as much as I want. That will dissuade me at times from doing the work outside of spreadsheets and plot-lines. If it's found that people are interested in my story are writing technique, I'd be happy to continue posting to this website. If not, well, I'll just take breaks without concern of a schedule like I did with The Burning Leaves. Thank you all so much! If it weren't for that first initial positive feed back on the first few chapters, I may never have created a fanfiction.net account and this would just be my personal story. It really does only take one person to make a difference! |
