An alternate imagining of Mrs. Gaskell's story, assuming Margaret had been hurt more seriously on the day of the riot. Intertwines elements of both the book and the BBC series, but focuses less on angst and more on the relationship of John and Margaret. Disclaimer: I do not own these characters, but am only presuming to borrow them for a while.

So the title is self-explanatory. The story is about our two favourite people falling in love.

A most 'improper' re-telling of Persuasion. Anne and Frederick recollect their past trysts while trying to cope with seeing each other again after 81/2 years. Prologue only. Being prepared for publication. Darcy is inexperienced with women. He is having trouble dealing with his feelings for Miss Elizabeth Bennet. This is an interpretation of PnP, mostly written from FD's POV. There are a few surprises, but it largely fits within canon.

"You pierce my soul..." Fine words to be sure but when Anne and Frederick's attachment comes under pressure and scrutiny from his family as well as hers, will they falter at the first hurdle or prove that they have learnt history's lessons and this time won't be so easily persuaded to part?

Margaret Hale never thought she would ever find happiness in the dirty, smokey Milton she now called home. Due to her own stubbornness, Margaret finds herself being saved by a tall, dark, handsome stranger. A shocking curiosity is awoken within her; one she cannot and would not ignore. Will she find her savior before it's too late? Margaret/Thornton retold.

North and South with more arguments, more pain, more friendship, more love, more forbidden soft touches. Same story but more.

He knew Margaret would not take kindly to being forced into a marriage against her will. If the best that could be said before was that she didn't like him, he knew she would hate him now.

The shock of sudden death of Mr. Hale crushes Mr. Bell, rendering him unable to bring the sad news to Margaret himself. He is forced to delegate the terrible duty to the only one he can entrust it: his friend and tenant Mr. Thornton.

Frederick Wentworth finally kissed Anne Elliot for the first time in the street outside of the townhouse where the Musgroves were staying in Bath, but what happened next? A short scene filler for the 1995 film version of Persuasion.

Darcy plays hero to a stranded Elizabeth.

What was going through Lizzy's mind in that eternal moment between her rejection of Darcy and his retreat? Heated, fervent hatred and perhaps something else? Based on the scene in the movie adaptation where Darcy confesses his love in the rain. Smut, character study. Canon-compliant and period-compliant.

This is a continuation of the novel with light 2004 movie influences. I do not own the lyrics to As Time Goes By or the world and characters of Elizabeth Gaskell.

Richard Hale is dead and Margaret is faced with an uncertain future. When Mr. Bell proposes an alternative to living with her London relatives, Margaret is not the girl to say him nay. (Series based with book overtones, eventually Margaret/John Thornton)

It took a lie to make Margaret Hale realize the truth. It took admitting the truth to expose her weakness, and overcoming her weakness to find the strength to heal. One-Shot. What if Margaret had confided the truth of Frederick to Mr. Thornton on the fateful afternoon of her meeting with Inspector George Watson? A sin forgiven gives her a friend through sorrow. During the first night as newlyweds, Mr. Thornton unknowingly places Margaret in a delicate situation. As a result, Margaret has to cope with her growing mental stuggles, for her own wishes and desires collide with the ideas society has for her.

Two would-be lovers, an airport and an oft-unremembered American holiday. Darcy muses, Elizabeth wonders, and the flight attendants couldn't be nicer. Truly, it's a fairy tale, in 2,500 words.

Social worker Elizabeth Bennet hates bankers. Will Darcy is an artistic soul trapped in a banker's world. Beer is spilled, barbs are thrown and love emerges. A love story in 18 chapters, all written, and posting Tuesdays and Thursdays.

"There?" he whispers in her ear and, sure enough, he feels her grip tighten. - COMPLETE! -

A chance meeting throws Anne and Frederick together again. With their situations so changed can they look beyond the hurt and tragedy in both their lifes, and reconnect before its all too late?

What if Frederick forgot? Post Persuasion story.
