ABOUT MY STORIES

Updating My Stories
I like keeping my updating schedule simple. Once I find a day and plan that works, I do my best to stay consistent. If the story is done, I favor once a week updates. But when I think it’s going to be later than that (you know how life can be), I’ll both let you know as early as possible and assure you that the next update would be as soon as I’m free again. And when circumstances arise where I believe I need to take a break from updating or writing, you'll be well aware of it and early. I'm not one to abandon anything, but I may need some of your patience in order for me to deliver a quality story.

Also, just so you know, to be fair to all the readers, I will never look at the number of reviews as a determining factor on when to update. I’m not going to force anyone to review just to see another chapter and those who do review shouldn’t have to wait for anyone else before I post. I've never been one to hold a chapter hostage for reviews, so I don't care whether I have 5, 50, or 500 on the previous chapter, or even the entire story, before I next post. Reviews influence how and what I write, not when I update.

Reviews and Replies
Reviewing my stories is never mandatory, lol. It's all up to you if you want to leave me anything. I do read every single review I get and I really take into account what the reader is telling me. That being said, you are more than welcome to leave me critiques, criticisms, suggestions, tips, ideas, etc. Don't worry, lol, I won't take offense to anything...well, you know, so long as its constructive! But really, I'm open to lots of stuff and more than willing to even try writing things in for you...if it fits in, that is.

I also like taking the time to reply to my reviewers. I know lots of people usually do that by listing the names at the start or end of a chapter, sometimes answering everyone's comments, but sometimes only answering a few. To be as fair as I can, I use FanFiction's reply feature- whenever I get a review, I'll read it and reply directly back to the reader as soon as I can. Unfortunately, I know that this leaves out the anonymous reviewers or those who don't sign in, but I PROMISE you that I read those and appreciate them just as much. But on this last note...please don't abuse the fact that I allow anonymous reviews. I'd hate to turn the filter for them on and miss out on some good suggestions, but if I keep getting other things, I'll be forced to do it. If there's anything else you need to talk to me about that isn't a review just use PM or email, please!

Added on 1/16/07 ...Unless you are reviewing to EFRN, in which case I am totally swamped by reviews and hope you understand that I would need days to get through them all. Don’t get me wrong, this is an outstanding problem for an author to have! Know that I still do read them, still do listen to them, and I’m not saying you won’t ever get a reply if you say something that sticks out for me... ;)

The Blog
I try to avoid longer author notes, so if you ever want to get more in depth info about my stories, feel free to visit my blog by easily clicking the homepage link above. I keep the blog updated with anything regarding my stories - including comments to recently published chapters, the status of current projects, and there may even be some deleted scenes from my published fics or teasers for upcoming stuff.

If you ever want a clue as to what could possibly stopping me from updating a story, then check my Twitter (http://twitter.com/pacifickay). It's basically a quicker version of the blog, but will have little to do with my stories- just my crazy life. It won't be minute-by-minute, lol, but I usually post a few times a day, considering. And also thanks to everyone who has sent me a review or put me and/or my works on their favorite author and favorite stories lists.
