Update 18-04-20: Blaze it, yo!

What a year this has been so far, dear viewers! Since I last decided to visit this site against my better judgement I've seen new trends of absolute stupidity. It's a travesty how far down some sections of this site has gone down. how low can it go? The answer is infinite! Of course I'm mainly going to focus on the Pokémon section. It's one big mess of its own, let me tell you that!

As I look around, I notice a few delinquents whom I believe deserve special mention. Look upon them and laugh!

Grant's shitlist of shameless FFn authors

1. WyldClaw (AKA WildTotodile, WildCroconaw. AKA Attention wh-re)

This is an interesting case. This lady has been on this site for more than ten years, and she constantly reposts her "work" over and over. The "fics" are finished most of the time, but she thinks she doesn't get enough reviews so she either removes the fic, or removes a chapter only to replace the same chapter again. This is incredibly scummy, since she hasn't truly written anything new, but chooses to steal attention from actual new stories. I reviewed her story calling her out on her actions, and since you cannot remove a signed review as long as it doesn't break against any guidelines (which it didn't) she saw only one solution.

She removed the story, and promptly reposted it along with blocking me. I've seen crappy writers, but she's a special case. She puts zero efforts into her stuff. Her "excuse" is that her account got "hijacked". As if anyone would want to hijack that crap. Once, I can believe, but more than seven times? No. Welcome to the number one spot.

Status: Still active. Still reposting old stuff. As of 18-04-20 she is still doing it! Some people are just that pathetic!

2. 0 Jordinio 0 (AKA Hypocrite Extraordinaire)

Check this guy out! If there is one hilarious thing on this site it's when Hubris take over some "writer's" mind. They get a little "famous" and suddenly they think they're the king of the world. And it turns them into monumental jerks everyone still loves. I suppose that's part of the decline of this site. He badly masks his arrogance by pretending to be modest. He also fills the stereotype of writer with hubris in that he makes a list of things that irritate him and outright says that if people are doing this, they shouldn't be posting their garbage on the site. He is very guilty of doing the very things he claims he hates so much himself over and over again.

And, of course, he talks smack about other authors who have left the site so he can feel cool. His stories generally is just a mainstream "wishful" version of the Pokémon Animé that offers nothing new. It's constant moaning of how everything should be the way he wants it.

And he won't shy away from talking shit about other people's stories when they in fact don't differ that much from his own. Of course, he is of the "Only I can do it this way. Not you" type. And when confronted, he is probably prone to flaunting his "amazing review/favourites" count. Another one in the trash for thinking quantity matters. It's funny when he thinks he's so edgy when he flames a story that happens to be just as "popular" as his, and just hates on it in general. It's as if he feels threatened or maybe he realizes how shallow his fanbase is?

And as of now he is reposting his "trendy" stories in the same fashion as WyldClaw. Gotta... get... more... attention!

UPDATE: Turns out he really does take after little WyldClaw, since he "updates" stories by adding chapters and removing them. As if reposting isn't enough. Turns out he wanted to change up the beginning a bit, but he never really put that much effort into that... change.

Grant's List of Grievances!

You see, dear viewer, I normally don't go out of my way to harass people on this site. My time is way too valuable for that. I make sure to only do it to those who deserve it! I just do it by pointing out what wrong they did and bada-bing bada-boom it's done. They said people get their fantard white knights to bombard me with messages and then bravely block me before I can make any retort. That's the mature way of doing things! But at the same time it's also a relief, because then I don't have to waste my time pointing out to them why they are wrong. And if it goes that far, they usually end up running away unless they really, really bore me. The amount of dullards on this site... whew!

1. Shipping Wars

I honestly couldn't believe this is an actual thing. But we must remember this is 2018! Different opinions are offensive and must be battled tooth and claw! Someone dares to like a ship between two ten-year-olds? Shame them! Flame them! Make sure they never dare to support that ever again! Now people are entitled to their opinions and all, but there are times when this has just gone out of hand to the point of madness! When it goes to the point where people have to steal someone's story, mark it as their own just to change the shipping you know you hit low ground. It's a marvel of how far the absolute lack of any decency of some people. The triggering!

And remember, this is all because of peoples' ideas of whom a ten year old kid should be romantically involved with. Creepy!

2. SYOC

Short version: Don't do it. Really, don't.

Long version: Ah, Send Your Own/Original Character. This type of thing that has sadly now devolved into being an acceptable form of tactic these days in the Pokémon section just oozes of absolute lack of imagination from the author. There's really only one reason and one reason only people do this:

Cheap reviews. Yep, that's it. If the story's first chapter openly markets this it's clear they want to rope in a select few reviewers into sending their on the spot made up character to have an appearance in the story. There are so many ways this just does not work and it rarely goes past a handful of chapters. Authors think it's easy to just slap characters in a story no problem ,but it will always look incredibly forced and also shows they had no plans to begin with. It's also a cheap way of fishing reviews.

It's also NOT ALLOWED ON THIS SITE! It falls under the fifth rule "Interactivity". Authors are not allwoed to interact with reviewers in the stories. Asking them to submit characters violate this rule. FULL STOP.

But the most common response is: "But does that mean Original Characters are not allowed?" What a way to absolutely twist the issue. There is no mention of OC's being disallowed. It's REQUESTING READERS TO SUBMIT THEM THAT IS! Interactivity! honestly, ffn should be clearer on this rule. Last time they updated it was 2008. They must be giving up on this mess.
